Actually, as of 3.0 it doesn't preload instruments in the presets list. It has, however, a pretty sophisticated plugin caching system, so that it can reuse plugins you have loaded previously. This lets you switch between presets faster than in other hosts.Uncle E wrote:It provides instant mapping and preset management of most plugins. Also, it does this cool thing where it pre-loads the next instrument in your preset list to making it faster to scroll through presets.Numanoid wrote:I don't get why anybody would pay money for AKAI VIP, I mean haven't a user already got a DAW.

Thanks! Sorry for the bad information! I'm still using VIP 2.0.Big Tick wrote:Actually, as of 3.0 it doesn't preload instruments in the presets list. Does someone have any experiences with this?

Do you remember the Bitley Fairlight Kontakt Groupbuy before summer? The price is now lower than that.

I have merged Fairlight Kontakt R2 with Lost In The Fairlight Maze and I have also lowered the prices from $219 / $159 respectively to just $65 for the whole kit as I really do need your orders.
Upgrade; if you had any previous Bitley product before January 1st 2017, the upgrade price is just $45.
Individual smaller packs: Was $10 each, now $5 each.

This Kontakt 5 library is huge — over 1400 patches and about 5000 samples are used in those patches — just about everything you are looking for if you want the right 80s / 90s sounds. The demo shows a few of them. Highly playable and enjoyable sounds; not just 'esoteric' or 'vintage' but really usable in any modern music production.
I worked a lot with this and I really must shout out to y'all; this is pretty cool stuff.
We also have Reason refills and patches for hardware synths. Welcome!

Waves 25th anniversary sale... it's like one of those movies with plot twist after plot twist, and then when you think it's all over, there's one final crazy plot twist and nothing is real anymore. What else can they possibly come up with after this?!
Interested to know whether the 25th anniversary plugins with updated GUIs/features (L1, Q10 and AudioTrack) will be updated for free for bundle owners, or whether the anniversary edition is considered a separate plug (and hence a separate purchase).

I think you can sum it up in one sentence: really excellent sounds but non-existing user interface. Imho it was always too expensive for what it was. The new pricing model seems more realistic to me.Caine123 wrote:Does someone have any experiences with this?

If you bought Waves Platinum for the sale price of $199 like I did, you'll be happy to know you can upgrade to Diamond for $90toffo wrote:Waves 25th anniversary sale... it's like one of those movies with plot twist after plot twist, and then when you think it's all over, there's one final crazy plot twist and nothing is real anymore.
