Wrong place but it is still on page 2 and the last post 3 days ago. Hardly "dried up". I like Rapid.. I heard Avenger sound quality is a bit, so so. I like Rapids fundamental sound quality a lot and that is what counts for me, not having an entire workstation with a mediocre sound engine.Piers Da'Tayker wrote:perhaps they could have opened up to other known kvr active testers????chk071 wrote: Or the beta testers didn't quite do their job, because, otherwise, there wouldn't be many issues.
Imagine if Vengeance had let Wagtones and other sound designers like him test it.
Rest assured it would have been quite solid, a huge bonus we would have a ton of extra
sounds.
Perhaps Vengeance deliberately dropped Avenger a bit early to fully cripple Rapid by parawave?
I think they achieved their objective. Discussion on that synth dried up quick and resembles a husk
of its original dream.

Avenger is a complex beast and certainly demanded more beta-testing time. That said, it had plenty of sound designers involved (including Wags)—just hit the artist filter to see who contributed presets and you shall find a certain Mirko Ruta (ring any bells).
Back on topic, Mac OS High Sierra is the last OS to support legacy 32bit apps, I really hope Viper is a big enough success for Adam to fund the development of a 64bit version.

Pretty sure Viper is PC only.db3 wrote:Avenger is a complex beast and certainly demanded more beta-testing time. That said, it had plenty of sound designers involved (including Wags)—just hit the artist filter to see who contributed presets and you shall find a certain Mirko Ruta (ring any bells).

Anyway, can't wait to try this out. Can't wait to hear how well you did the infamous hypersaw

Doh! I thought it was 32bit only, not 32bit PC only. Must have been thinking about that other MIA "Cell" project.Riansky wrote:Pretty sure Viper is PC only.db3 wrote:Back on topic, Mac OS High Sierra is the last OS to support legacy 32bit apps, I really hope Viper is a big enough success for Adam to fund the development of a 64bit version.

To ease the pain of waiting I decided to post the factory sounds demo which I will use for the video. Everything is made with Viper, no samples or extra effects were used. Only a mastering limiter

That's not bad. But from now on, do more 90's sounds, happy the track changed from today's crappy electronica sounds to something more beautiful. Also always record in 96kHz.
