I paid $249 and got a free keyboard and other software with it. I feel ripped off!Local Man wrote:What?! I paid one dollar for that!!Michael L wrote:Yep, AIR Xpand!2 (free now)pdxindy wrote:Is there a free sampler?
It is pretty great though, it covers a lot of bases even if you can't tweak much of anything.
If you have requests for Korg VST features or changes, they are listening at https://support.korguser.net/hc/en-us/requests/new

Heh. Yeah, this questions a strong contender for the "Most Reposted Thread on all Audio Forums" award. I can see the value of reposting a question every once in a while. New users, new answers, new discussion. But certainly not as often as I see this particular question.ghettosynth wrote:Only for the first five hundred times

I actually thought this was an earlier thread on the very same topicAJYoung wrote:But certainly not as often as I see this particular question.

LOL! I'm not sure which is worse, asking the same question yet again, or necro-ing an old thread.Michael L wrote:I actually thought this was an earlier thread on the very same topicAJYoung wrote:But certainly not as often as I see this particular question.

I have often thought there should be a "Necro Forum" where all questions are moved after they have been asked more than five times.ghettosynth wrote:LOL! I'm not sure which is worse, asking the same question yet again, or necro-ing an old thread.

I wish that all threads have light hearted jokes like these!

Sure it's only 32-bit and the interface is disastrous, but it's THE most powerful freeware synth out there, period. 16-part multitimbral, 3 synthesis engines per part (one of which has 8 OSC's and Mod OSC's), and an internal mixer where you can route effects anywhere in the chain. You can write entire songs using only one instance of this thing.

Because global warming will gradually leave us with nothing but a laptop and solar charger, we take these questions very seriously!do_androids_dream wrote:What's the point of these threads? Boredom?

That's what I thought. It's addressing a very real and serious situation. When faced with catastrophe and just the right conditions that dictates we only have one - free - compiled piece of code for sound generating.. Man, I'm glad we discussed it at such great length otherwise I would be screwed.Michael L wrote:Because global warming will gradually leave us with nothing but a laptop and solar charger, we take these questions very seriously!do_androids_dream wrote:What's the point of these threads? I think if I had to use free synths (thank god I don't), I would probably use a Noizefield one, they seem to be most similar to Sylenth1, i.e. what I am used to. Their user interfaces are also intuitive, which is important to me.
