Buy a Korg product like a $50 keyboard and I think you can get that free. Someone else may know for sure. IMO it is not that great of a plugin, and better can be had for free. The Lounge Lizard Session is pretty good though, and Strum Session.

I think bundle is worth it if you don't have it. I know it is slimmed down, but not as much as the player version. I have AAS full catalog including the soundbanks and use these "small footprint" synths in almost everything I do in one way or another.

Look what comes in the Korg bundle:

If you buy something like the Korg Nanokeys, you get all three Session instruments free, plus you have a controller, all for $50. I am guessing you are thinking of spending $40 on just the AAS bundle, but I think $10 more and a lot more stuff is the better deal.

I did it last summer. Got session for cheap, and then got the upgrade offer for $49 two weeks later. THAT I was very happy with. So yes, grab session if it's on sale. Session is good, and the upgrade path it puts you on works out nicely

It went to v2 only recently.Caine123 wrote:yeah it's bundled and on sale ;D, but i wonder if such an old product is still worth it with all the new awesome vsts, yaaaaaaaaaaaaa!?
At the sale price, most people pay more just for a soundset.
I suggest picking it up, it is a fun little synth, I find myself using it more than it's big brother.

UA VA-2 is one of my most used synths, the filters are pretty special and allow for sounds that are pretty much impossible to get with anything else in my stable.Caine123 wrote:yeah it's bundled and on sale ;D, but i wonder if such an old product is still worth it with all the new awesome vsts, yaaaaaaaaaaaaa!?
Just take a listen at some of Daniel Stawczyk's demos to get an idea - he's got that sucker nailed.

If you're looking for silky, smooth pads shop elsewhere.
