...a lot more videos are there too.
20 bucks in the app store. Almost too cheap (but yeah, i bet the plug-in will be between 100-130).

That's an exciting new synth!

The morphing capabilities are easily accessible even though they can be quite complex. It is both intuitive and sonically diverse.

I just purchased the iPad version so I can learn it for whenever the Mac version comes out.

Damn cool sounds, very need in vst 8)
But ofcourse would be good if plugin will be more complex, or with some additional features at least.

seems that the vst version is coming along quite well:

I find it more than complex enough already!

Maybe it's needed to justify the difference in the price :D

Desktop users must think they are more pro....you know.... :D
But really. It would be nice if it has some extra features to justify the higher price compared to 20 dollar for the iPad version.

Yep.
It would have to have FOUR TIMES more features.

Then most plug-ins should have 10 times more features.
Different market.

Why? The guy that buys an iPad for $800 has at least so much money than the guy that buys a laptop for the same $800. So why may one pay $20 for a plug-in and the other is asked to pay $100? What is different in this market, besides the OS?

For me a developer that sells an app for $20 for the iPad and dares to ask 5 times more FOR THE SAME APP just because it runs in Windows or Mac OS is completely discredited, and I will never buy from him.

If anyone would behave the same as I do, I guess things would change pretty fast. It's exactly the same that happened with CDs and music downloads. Now the CDs are being sold more or less at the same price the albums are sold on iTunes, but there was a time when we were asked to pay the triple or quadruple for a CD. The argument was the same: different markets  :help:

But no one is like you
It was explained several times and no one can help you if you still don´t understand the different between these platforms. If you still don´t get it.....ask some developers which supports all these platforms.
But you are free to pay whatever you want.
Still the same answer, different market, different workflow, different people etc.
But you still seems very interested since you still hang out here in the mobile thread.
C´mon, in reality you want an iPad yourself and realized how much money you wasted for software. :D

Economies of scale. The potential user base on iOS is several orders of magnitude larger. Developers can afford to sell there at lower rates because they make it up in volume. There are fewer VST customers, so the have to charge more per customer to generate the same revenue. It’s basic economics.
Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.

The potential user base is larger but I'm not sure about the actual user base. I don't have the figures.

After the campaign a small number of us IOS musicians had to mount to convince Apple there was something seriously wrong with audio latency on the latest iPad Pros and get it fixed (now successfully) I got the impression that the IOS user base of audio apps is pretty small (and certainly nothing more than an annoying buzzing fly in the next room for Apple).

Here's a wild idea ... try selling a VST equivalent for the same price and see what happens to sales. Again, I don't have the figures, but I think there are many more desktop musicians.

The thing with IOS is that so many things come up in the sub £10 range that I, and others, just buy them and take a punt on them. There are quite a few misses but there you go. Nobody died. £20 I certainly think about more but if the dev's pedigree is good I may well buy it. There is definitely a culture of purchasing cheap apps.

Why wouldn't/doesn't that translate to the desktop? Genuine, economically naive question.
