I thought only the official prices (not discounted or 2nd hand) are counted!

If not, then you can have all the synths listed except very few (like omnisphere)!!

The AAS Session bundle is a great starter and cheap, but Ultra Analog VA-2 is really great with a tiny footprint.

Along with the others named...

Helix

I don't think he is updating this anymore, but it is a cool synth.
It would be great if he re-worked the GUI as the text is small on higher res monitors.

Another vote for Arcsyn - great layout for quick and easy programming - very clear detailed sound imho (though I prefer to dirty things up a little :D )

Repro sounds great but is mono only atm, and it is more on "vintage" side.
No experience with the Waves synths [...] but they seem to be not very popular.
Repro-1 users will get a free upgrade to Repro-5, hopefully by the end of this year.
RePro-5 is now in (internal) beta testing... so it is pretty sure gonna be this year when it is officially out.

So for $99 you get 2 synths... both world class sound quality.

Form what I read the only difference is number of voices, right? That's hardly "two" synths :)

Good call! That BTW reminded me of Usine Hollyhock3 which for $99 non-pro license gives a fully featured DAW with deep modular environment to create synths & effects:

Even though it's based on the RePro1 engine, they did a lot more than just slap 8 voices on it:

That makes it at least 1,5 Synths :D

The originals synths that these are emulations of are 2 different synths... similar in basic architecture, but with some different sonic character. That makes them 2 different synths.

As for feature differences, RePro-5 has a noise modulator and a S&H option. It does not have the JAWS FX from RePro-1. It does have a per voice distortion module plus another FX module called Velvet which is some presets based on Satin. RePro-1 has the sequencer. There are a few other small feature differences.
