As a very specific instrument focused on (electronic) bass, I’m rather tempted by the offer,...will it last until early November, by chance ?

Can it do anything that Predator can't?
I wonder what happens if I press this button...

I belive the difference from Predator is that SubboomBase is a reduced version with 2 oscs, custom samples that's unique to it and a ton of base oriented patches. But for example, there's a few patches called GFunk that's kind of a moog style base, similar patches is in predator too. It depends on what you are after. Personally I substituted SubBoomBase with Diva for my base needs, mostly because of the patch browser in Rob Papen plugins are pretty dated compared to NI and u-he and just because I want to keep my list of plugs low enough to be able to master some of them more. The patch browser is something they seem to have fixed in the new one (sounds like they're still sticking to "banks" instead of simply folders on the drive though). I wonder if it's also back-compatible with SubBoomBase 1. I'll be keeping an eye on SubBoomBase 2 for sure though, if it's a significant upgrade across the board (filters, samples, patches etc) then I may bite for sure. I suspect it's gonna borrow most new "under the hood" additions from Predator 2.

I bougt it yesterday, it is really worth of it (used it few months before...). It offers very natural dynamic on each note press. For me it is all in one.
That dynamic cannot be easily recreated in Ableton Live.

I believe the bass duties in this track are all subboombass....It's old school, but it drives.
