I went on Soundcloud and logged in today. Hadn't been there for a while and it gave me an ominous warning about there being a data breach and I needed to do a "
password reset notice due to Soundcloud finding a leak of user data in another service
"
What was the other service I wonder so I can change my password there if needed, and when did this happen etc? I got no notification from Soundcloud whatsoever.

Anyone got anymore info on this?

I've been going to my Soundcloud on and off all day and haven't seen anything out of the ordinary.

I checked the news and there’s no news of any significant data breach. Did see some people who have gotten that message before however. Seems like a precautionary thing instead of an urgent one.

The post above this is likely bait, viewer discretion is advised.

I did find this

Edit:
The date caught me out - it's exactly a year old! But the same message appeared that the op saw.

The warning there mentions the breach containing your details came from elsewhere. Soundcloud itself hasn't been breached. https://haveibeenpwned.com/ (run by well-known security researcher Troy Hunt) might clue you in as to where that came from. Presumably Soundcloud keep an eye on such things and proactively warn users if any breach containing their email address appears. Pretty classy move IMO.

Yeah, sounds like someone else tried to log in to your account.
