I'm not sure I'm sold on this specific approach but I like the idea.
These aren't really new ideas, of course. See Hal Chamberlin's "Musical Applications for Microprocessors" from the mid 80s as well as a ton of research material from that era.
The problem with these concepts is that in the attempt to solve a problem they essentially destroy what's great about the thing that they are solving the problem for.
Guess what the next evolution from this is, that's right, realizing that many of the analog modules could really be done in digital giving us even more power in our modular. Then, wait, maybe we could do it ALL in digital, and there we are, right back in the mid 90s rethinking Max/Generator/VAZ/Csound etc.
This project will die on the vine.
