I'm looking for a sound designer to help with a small-ish contract job over the next 2 months. It involves making 16-bit-style sounds for a game I'm creating. I've so far been doing all the sound design myself, so I have plenty of good references for you already, but as the game edges closer to launch I no longer have time to finish the SFX. You can check out the current style below. Basically it involves a mix of synthesis, careful noise shaping, fast pitching/resequencing of lo-fi samples, or a combination of these things.

This is a very difficult kind of sound to nail. I'm using a combination of my own Super Audio Cart library for pre-compressed and sample-reduced sounds, mixed with sharp EQ, very crude reverb, sequencing, and a bit of external synth/filters. Some sounds are created with fast LFOs, basic RM, or <20kb resampled audio.

And for good measure, here's a reel of sounds I *DID NOT* make, but that illustrate my gold standard for this project. My first demo gets a grade of "B", but the one below is A+.
