On topic: it would be nice to be able to double click the filter dial to bring it back to 0.
You can do it by using ctrl+click. To answer your first question, I am one of the beta testers and couldn't wait to express how I feel about it. Sorry if I annoyed anyone by doing it.
It's easy if you know how

The various fine/reset control shortcuts depending on the plugin format are described in the manual.

Bought this today. Been demoing it for the past 2 projects. Its awesome!! :tu: I cant find the product manual if there is any. Also how do you adjust the trim knob automatically like autogain while you adjust the drive?

Click on the gear icon in the lower left part of the plugin.

Hold and drag the right mouse button for autogain.

IMO autogain should be a switch in the GUI, not a click-drag-whatever non-intuitive nonsense. you shouldn't hide such an important feature in the manual - very few people will read it.
I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.

Hi BlackRooster,

Are there actually any legacy VST versions available? Following directions to enable legacy vst support in the installer doesn't actually install anything. I've tried multiple times. Sorry, but I've little confidence in the wrapper system.

The very idea of the "Legacy VST Support" option is to install plain VSTs without any wrapper. Please make sure you have the correct VST installation directory selected if you're on Windows. Oh, and of course you must also select the plugins you're going to install besides the "Legacy VST Support" option.

Hope this helps!

Will your plugins still work when your authorization servers go offline?

Post

Hi Black Rooster,

Are you still unable to transfer the licenses of Black Rooster plugins?

Post

I've been waiting for a preamp like this  $15 with voucher

Hmm, ok I got it working. I did all that (again), and it still failed to create anything but an empty folder in my VST directory. I did find the bundles in the default install directory and manually copied the dlls out of the them to my VST directory to get them working.

Anyway, seems to be some issues with the installer, but all is good.

Just a quick FYI.
I've been working on a mix, and the snare drum just seemed a little too "polite". (it's Superior Drummer 3, so the samples are all first class). The drum buss is going through a little bit of Decapitator - but there was something just not "right" (for what I was looking for).

Anyway - I threw VPRE 73 on the snare (top and bottom) at around 60 - and *voila!* - it sounds great!
I stuck it on my Toms too - it wasn't that noticible on the sound, but I added a little HF (I don't even know what freq this is working at) and it just adds that little bit that I was looking for.

This was just luck that it's doing what I want - but I thought I'd add a success (or good luck) story ;-)

All this for $15!
I'll definitely be keeping this plugin handy in future...

Yes, of course. Our activation process isn't run via a challenge/response protocol anymore, so no need to run via an authorization server.

Ok, thanks for your info. That obviously shouldn't happen. I reckon you're on Windows, right? Which version?

Thanks again.
