(Last comment on this as I don't want to worsen the tangent - but if there seems general unhappiness I might start a new thread unless someone gets there before me).

Banning isn't really a solution, godly, as people quote and comment.

Most here will be Avenger users, sharing experiences with each other and the developer. You're not creating skins out of the kindness of your heart, you're selling them. And you have every right to. There's a market for it, clearly. It's just strangling this particular thread imo. Genuinely I wish you well, you have a real talent for this it's just... a little out of hand right now. IMO.

Oh, and FWIW - a while back I did make a tiny little microbank for Avenger analogue 16ths arps for free... help yourself! https://app.box.com/s/ihyio5821ix0mfiebys88dhn0xldyxgx

Spamming with low quality skins and than continues with ranting and defending himself, bad for Avenger. Make your own thread.

Post

I think it would only help the product that is called Avenger if there were more than one thread about it.
As there is no Vengeance subforum here this thread is the only stream of information about it here.
Please understand that there are also Avengerists that do not care about other skins as there are that do care.
So please make a own thread about Avenger skins. Everybody would benefit from this as people see 2 threads and maybe become interested in it.
So you would also get more potential customers for your skins.
Help yourself and do the right thing, please.

Nope, tried that, i already started a thread with tips and questions, but no response there. Go find it.
And show me the good discussion and tips here also please, other then coming from Manuel.

Anyone know of any Black Friday Avenger expansion packs that would be on sale?
I am casting my eye over this one, but no sign of a sale yet:

...or anyone got any recommendations of other good value expansion packs out there?

Manuel is the new OSC FM going to work when changing the FFT of OSC 2. Also is changing the pitch of OSC 2 going to affect the FM on OSC 1 or do we have to change the with the harmonic knob. I can not wait for this new update hopefully it's here before Christmas

Look, I get your point, and you have my sympathy. That chrome GUI btw. looks very nice. But you are overdoing it, please let's stay a bit on topic, this is the main Avenger thread, not your personal sales channel.

I for one would like to know if people are using the filter sequencing to any good. Two 12db filters in serial definately sound different than one 24db filter, one 6db filter alone provides you with additional drive if needed etc.

C'mon, this currently is the moszt flexible VST synth, what are you doing with all those possibilities?

Best,

K

yes it does. Everything you do with OSC 2 will have influence... wavetable sweeps, bitcrush, x-cite, FFT, transpose (which is actually the rate then), even the noise mix or the FM itself on OSC2. Or you can use samples (for example a vocal sample)... Everything ;)
So you could make a "FM depth sweep" on OSC2 and use this result to FM-ize OSC1

:o this is going to take AVENGER to a whole new level :hyper:

ANYWAY....

In an attempt to move things on to, you know, the product, is there some audio around anywhere that demonstrates the kind of results using FM as a modulation source can do? It's beyond my humble experience and it sounds interesting, especially given the number of "this will take things to a whole new level" comments.

Where do you click to check what version of Avenger you are currently running?

I just installed 1.2.6, but I can't see any way to confirm it. I'm sure I'm missing something obvious!

You are! :) Just click 'SYS' tab and the version nr is on the bottom.

I guess you would like some explanations on top of the audio. That FM/Audio rate modulating is typical of modular synths, such as Reaktor. Here we have a guy who is really good at explaining things:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UYZlXmuaDg4

Another synth that can do that is Bazille, some examples on how to do and how it sounds based on only two oscillators - PM (Phase Modulation) in Bazille is equivalent to Avenger's FM:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NVZmwsWMdNI

The exciting thing about FM in Avenger is that Avenger has some very good punch (8 freeform oscillators with several real-time waveshaping functions). Unless the FM feature is computationally prohibitive in itself, Avenger would instantly be the most powerful FM synthesizer known to man.

Thank you ZaBong - gadzooks I'm not cut out for modular synthesis. Hopefully Avenger will open this stuff out to edjits like me.
