Damn you, Black Friday! Wave Alchemy Revolution drum machine, is it good?

I have spent all my money already, but am considering trying to sell some stuff to buy this:
http://www.wavealchemy.co.uk/revolution/pid179/
It runs in Kontakt player, which I don't prefer, I would rather have a stand alone, but there is a 50% off code I keep seeing on Facebook and I'm tempted. I'm just wondering if it is worth it. I may be able to sell off my EZKeys stuff, I just don't know what a fair price would be. I have the Grand Piano, Mellotron, and Retro Electric pack, plus the Blues and Pop Rock midi packs. Any thoughts on what a good price would be?
The Wave Alchemy code should be for anyone interested:
WA2A988F55 (edited the code with the last one I have seen, says it expires Monday)

I am not 100% on that code though, I have to run across the Facebook ad again to be sure.

Oh, I didn't know. I have no idea how good or bad it may be, I guess I should look up some reviews. But I just noticed it is 149 in pounds, which makes it more than the $75 I though initially with the coupon. It isn't so attractive at that price.rod_zero wrote:I subscribe to their newsletter, that product has been on sale for months now.

i actually prefer Heartbeat.
I love drum synths.
Drumatic 4, DrumSpillage2, AudioThing Hats... I use my Tempest a lot too
If you want some analog samples in whatever sample rate, i can upload some from the Tempest if you like?
There's enough of the classics out there to keep everyone going this lifetime surely!?
not to say Wave Alchemy aren't possibly the kings of the sample side of things.
I guess I just don't really dig on samples is all.

Yeah, whatever I choose to get, I'm going to have to sell something first to finance it. I have a couple of Arturia synths that I can sell too, just being Black Friday and all, I have a lot of competition. Maybe it would be best to just sit it all out until after the new year.

I need a decent drum machine with a sequencer. I have Bfd3 for acoustic drums, my option is adding samples to that, which doesn't sound so bad right at this moment. I just found out an old friend is suddenly homeless, so I may sell some stuff so I can send him money instead of buying toys for myself.

It is great quality, no doubt. And the round robin is cool to avoid machine gun affect (though it's only in the normal analog mode, not the alternate samples like through tape etc.). Takes a ton of samples, since they have pretty much sampled every combination of knob settings.
My biggest gripe is that I'd like to use the individual drum module mostly, but they are just too resource heavy to use many of. The reason being that each module has every single drum sound available, rather than split into different types, which I think is a mistake. They should have a kick module, a tom module, a snare module etc. which would be way lighter.
But yeah it's nice to have all those classics in one place, great sound. Nice sequencer though I'd usually use a host sequencer.
I've thought about selling it, only because it's so ram hungry the way I want to use it, as individual modules. I hope they change that, but they haven't responded when I've asked about that.

Ah, yeah I don't think another ram heavy plugin suits me well.

Don't get me wrong, the full drum machine version isn't bad (maybe 1gb of ram or so). The issue when using the individual module version (separate kontakt instance for each drum module) where it starts to really add up, as each one still uses lots of ram, almost as much I think. I'm not sure how they think anyone would reasonably be able to use much.braj wrote:Ah, yeah I don't think another ram heavy plugin suits me well.
