NI Sample Library crossgrade confusion

I've sent in a request to NI but I'm wondering if anyone else has this issue.

I have a number of versions of Komplete, including Komplete 2 and 9 - all in my account.

I was looking at Symphony Ensemble - clicked on crossgrade and it says "This crossgrade only works for users of KOMPLETE 2-11, KOMPLETE 8-11 ULTIMATE. None of the qualifying products are registered to your account XXXXXX.

I then had a look at Session Pro - when I checked the price on that it says "As an owner of KOMPLETE 9 Update you qualify to install and activate this version. ". Now I notice it says "Update" but surely you can only have an update of K9 if you have a full version of Komplete?

My account has, among other things

NI KOMPLETE 2 Special Prelaunch Edition
KOMPLETE 4 - Update from KOMPLETE 3 as Supplement
KOMPLETE 6 Update
KOMPLETE 9 Update

Even if it doesn't accept updates Komplete 2 is there. Maybe it doesn't like that it's the pre-launch edition?



Supplementary question - I assume you can upgrade from one of the Essentials to the full library - right now the site only shows crossgrades rather than upgrades.

I'm asking because maybe I'm better getting ultimate which includes the Essentials and then go up from that to the various full versions over time

My general understanding is that some of the checks for upgrade/crossgrade elibility are bugged.

In my case, I own Komplete 11 Ultimate and the full Symphony Series Strings, Brass and Woodwinds - but it will still give me the error on Symphony Series Percussion Crossgrade saying I'm not eligible.

I heard back from NI that it was bugged, and they assured me that as long as those products were registered to my account, I'd have no issues upgrading.

So I'd say, as long as you can confirm that you have those products that would make you upgrade/crossgrade eligible, you should be safe buying them and applying them.

ok thanks for confirming that I'm not alone on this.

Hopefully I will hear back from them before 30th Nov and if not I'll just go for the cross grade.
