The products you own already have a simple serial number, you should find them under your account. And the Command Centre drops the individual standalone installers into a user-definable folder, so you can just locate that and keep copies of those installers.

It's online activation though (or offline C/R)... http://forum.cakewalk.com/m/tm.aspx?m=3149383&p=2

Actually read that thread... kinda sad... I mean funny... I mean sad... I mean funny...

Well, in addition to what Dan said, Cakewalk is now owned by a multi-billion dollar company and has been doing well since the acquisition, so I wouldn't be too worried.

This goes on the list for 2018 sig refresh candidates.
You need to limit that rez, bro.

Bloody copy protection. :hihi:

Fortunately, I won't be using Z3TA+2 anymore, as my eyesight is aging faster than the plugin.

Well, some parts of Cakewalk Sonar could be transformed into money, e.g. making a CROSS-PLATFORM plugin suite from sonitus fx plugins, into a new version supporting state-of-the-art features like vst2 sidechain and vst3. The code already is there, vst cross platform is not the hard to do.

There's no need to re-activate if you save the relevant (Windows) registry keys. Just insert them after re-installation.

@ZeePok: How do we do that?

After a re-install right-click the .reg file and open with regedit. Voila! Bob's your uncle! :)

Doesn't work.

Yes it does! I use this technique all the time. :)

I'd guess that this isn't going to help you when you want to install on a new machine, right?

In Windows 8 64 bit the reg key you need is HKey_Local_Machine/SOFTWARE/Wow6432Node/Cakewalk Music Software

and:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Cakewalk Music Software
