I bought that way back when it was introduced. I use it all the time, especially Epure and Syrah.

Very fond of the compressor myself. A bit of a learning curve, but very rewarding once you get a handle on it.

I have many dynamics processors and EQs, some of the newest most leading edge software tools. What are the unique benefits of those in the Flux bundle compared to those from other companies? For example, Fab-filter and DMG?

Might i suggest having a read of their explanationhttps://fluxhome.com/project/pure-compressor/......they'll give you a better technical read than i could muster. In my experience with the comp/exp i find that i loose less of the stereo field, (depth is maintained) and am able to dial in a neater/cleaner attack and release. Then theres also M/S knob....very handy. I find i am able to accentuate the colour of the source material in a very clear forward manner without the plugin imposing it's colour in an imposing way. I just like the way the plugin balances the end result with the source.

Do not use DMG or FF dynamics so can not compare.

What does this mean:
I/O Configuration: SampleGrabber Plug-in Only
this is in the Analyser section. Is this Windows only? No Mac format? I've no idea what this means.

Studio Analyzer is a standalone app. Samplegrabber is a VST/AU plugin that sends audio to the analyzer.

Basically the "Session" version of Analyzer can only receive audio from the samplegrabber plugin whereas the full version can also monitor your computer's audio output.

Would love the analyser, but it's just a nightmare to install this thing. I can't even get the trial version working... Would love to buy their stuff, but when they make it so complicated..... I guess I have to pass.

...and standalone it is... I wonder why would an audio analyser be a offered only as a standalone app, surely the whole point of such applications is to run them in the DAW environment?

Anyways. I can not use this analyser as iLok is complaining that I don't have any licences in my iLok account - despite Flux depositing the whole bundle in my iLok account. I could run all the other plugins in my DAW, but the analyser, which will not open due to this activation issue. iLok is telling me to go back to Flux and request a licence, but they already have provided it ?? I just can not be bothered with any iLok hassle and will delete the whole lot.

Ah! I wasn't alone then. Amazing how companies make it difficult to demo their products.
