Well I've tried everywhere else why not here.

Yesterday I received my Novation Launchpad Pro. (slightly used) via an authorized dealer.
I cannot get anything to work except the note mode. I'm using Ableton Live and Mixcraft.
Even though the software recognizes and registers the control surface I get nothing. The session view fails to load. Seems like the only things that function aside from the standard note display is the transpose funcions.

Have you set up the midi in & out correctly in preferences?

I used to use the launchpad95 script with my Launchpad to get Push style step sequencer functionality.

Mike, you might need to re-set the preferences in LIVE. Google "how to re-set LIVE" as to what what files to delete to wipe all your preferences clean.

The issue isn't with Live... It's with Mixcraft 8 pro. I followed the steps per acoustica exactly to no avail.

I did contact novation.... They were generous enough to allow me a bundle code for a used piece of equipment.

Just now I downloaded Live Lite 9. and... LP Pro works as it should in Live.
No such luck with Mixcraft. I contacted acoustica support 2 days ago no response.

Looks like I'll have to reacquaint myself with live. To bad as Mixcraft came nicely packaged with melodyne and a few other choice goodies (that only works in MC8 Pro)

Thanks E, I've seen it before but went back after you posted, lots of enjoyable stuff.

Finally got it working as a control surface with mixcraft.... now it won't go into note mode with mixcraft.

On another note. I may be buying another LP Pro as opposed to other midi controller options.
Two 3.5 LP pro's with one set an octave down and the other set an octave up would give me 5.5 octaves which is the range I'm looking for.

That purchase may be way in the future however.
