Nothing else needs to be said.

Here's track one from my prog rock project. Just zip ahead to the last minute to hear how amazing this thing sounds.

Very cool track! What do you use for those synthesized vocals by the way? I've heard it in some of your other tracks but with a female voice.
Vocals by Vocaloid

https://www.vocaloid.com/en

The English singers available so far:

Cyber Diva (The female you hear on most of my tracks)
Dex (The male heard on this track)
Cyber Songman
Daina (3rd party female not made by Yamaha)
Ruby (3rd party female not made by Yamaha)

I own all the above. I find I use Cyber Diva and Dex the most. I like Daina for duets with Dex as her voice is slightly different from Diva's. Cyber Songman is my least favorite of the 5 but his voice does fit certain genres better than the others. He's great for Jamaican music, rap and funky sounding things. Ruby's voice is very similar to Daina's and sometimes it's hard to tell them apart.

It might be better to think of it as a sample library that comes with it's own skin. Generally sample libraries don't get updated - although new ones may come along in the future.

Then consider the original instrument that was emulated and ask yourself what further development might be expected? My vote would be for

1. When you hold down more than 6 keys the pitch of all the notes drops
2. When you try and change the sounds while playing it will immediately stop and your screen will slowly fill with the image of unspooling tapes.
3. It catches fire at random.

I know they just launched one of the libraries in Reason as a refill.

I wouldn't expect any more development on the player - I also wonder how many more libraries can be produced - maybe a few more but I wouldn't expect many.

It's one of the first plugin I bought back in 2005(?) and remains one I use most. Absolutely love it.

That sounds very reasonable! Such options would add to its authenticy...

Virtual fire? Should it make sound as the fire consumes it? Would the rate of combustion be tweakable?

I found out this particular feature is going to be included in the Rick Wakeman modification.

Bought it, pretty retro cool... With some patches (optigon e.g.) I was kicked back into cheesy Seventies... If you like such stuff you‘ll be delivered!

I have the old Sampletron library to use in Sampletank 3, I do wish I had funds for M-tron though.
If you have requests for Korg VST features or changes, they are listening at https://support.korguser.net/hc/en-us/requests/new

Did anyone see that they've had a sale on expansion libraries?

I just splurged a bit to grab ChamberTron, OptiTron, The Streetly Tapes M300 and I wasn't gonna do it, but after playing with those 3, I went back for the Streetly Tapes Vol 4.

There's not much I could see for demo content on Volume 4 (I don't have flash installed on this machine so can't check the audio demos). The video, which is always great to see didn't show as much as some of prior libraries (as far as I could tell). Either way, it's not the worst gamble, as I've loved everything so far.

The only expansions I don't have now are OrchesTron and Streetly Tapes Vol. 2.

I keep coming back to check out the OchesTron, but aside from the collector like feeling to buy it all, I just can't see myself using it and that's more important than a great sale price. Still, if you love lo-fi, it could make sense for another flavor.

Vol. 1 seems to include some of the most classical tron sounds, but a lot of less unusable, too. Vol. 4 overall sound me best. Your opinion?
