while we are at a place in history where we might feel like our voices are not being heard,
I give YOU, friends and neighbors, ...the opportunity to truly affect change ;]
asking for input:
what should be the next set from blortblort?
Should we revisit devices for which there is already a bb set?:
>Timeless 2
>Ohmboyz
>Phonec 2
>H3000 Band Delay
>HeartBeat
>Synplant
>Stutter Edit
>Sylenth
>Repro-1
>Factory
OR
perhaps one of these that I have been thinking of tackling:
>Spire
>Relayer
>Permut8 (really personally leaning toward doing sets for the different firmwares ;] )
>DRC
>Spire
>Massive
>Strobe 2
>Bazille
>Retrologue 2
>Serum
>Saurus 2
>TAL Sampler
OR
any votes for a "semi-port" of Filmstrips of the 70'sfrom Repro-1 to Repro-5?
(I would describe it as a "semi-port" because there are things that Repro-1 can do and Repro-5 cannot...so the final sounds on several presets would likely be quite different)

My vote goes to another set for Factory and it would also be interesting to hear what
you can squeeze out of Bazille.

Go with your instinct.
Otherwise, I'd have to vote self-interest because I love Synplant and Phonec 2

We shall see orchestral machines with a thousand new sounds, with thousands of new euphonies, as opposed to the present day's simple sounds of strings, brass, and woodwinds. -- George Antheil, circa 1925 ---

thanks everyone for the suggestions!
initially, I would say I'm leaning toward Repro-5...but I am running into real blocks for any sort of "direct port" of 'Filmstrips' ...while there are similarities, there are enough differences between Repro-1 and Repro-5 that a 1:1 port is NOT possible. while there are obvious differences like P5 doesn't have a seq/arp, there are also differences in the modulation sources and...the actual architecture of pro-one vs the prophet 5, the modulation sections are different from one another.
so... IF I go that route, the Repro-5 set may be "inspired" from the 'Filmstrips' set ;]
in any case, I doubt there will be anything new until after Christmas/New Year's... lots of family stuff going on right now!
Hope everyone is enjoying THEIR holidays!

@blortblort:
Really like your Ohmboyz set and would also vote for Bazille or Relayer.

I have to remind myself of these two things at times as well!

Merry Permut8'd Christmas ;]
>>>Permut8'd phun from blortblort<<<
soon, I hope to have short videos posted demonstrating use of the banks via MIDI keyboard triggering of the program changes. THIS is where the fun starts with Permut8... it really becomes more like SugarBytes Artillery or izotope's Stutter Edit when you use this performance aspect of it. Thanks again to Magnus and Sonic Charge for such a chimera of a sound mangling tool!
