I think that in the near future, 5 years and up, apps will be developed that will bring the vocal sound and style of any singer, past or present for our use in recording sessions. May be able to sample songs from recordings and use them that way. Take our own vocals and use them the same way without actually singing. A young version of our vocals along with the more mature version. Wrote a song thinking this would be great for the Beatles to sing. They will and maybe in a style that suits them compared to your intentions, after all they are the Beatles. same way with instruments, have the greats play along with you or have them play songs with the other vocals, mix and match. Band in a box is in this vein, amp sims, guitar sims all headed that way. This would be the next big step to music production. Just thinking out loud. :) Merry Christmas to all

Vocal sounds without the fun of singing? Sounds like the promise drum machines will put drummers out of business, they only put bad drummers for lifeless music out of business...;-)

Sounds more like a nightmare keeping possibly talented producers from playing music and never learning having real fun. Let the machines do it all by itself...
There is a project which can compose realy astonishingly authentic in the style of J.S. Bach, puting up somthing like thousands of cantatas. Realy good, but who would need that, if you could make a single song in your own style, I would prefer that over any "in the style of..." We don't have the problem of having a to little amount of songs in the world...

It's been scientifically proven that while you are composing music or playing music the brain is producing dopamine and other similar substances which produces during the sex or when you when have the need to eat something sweet and you bite the chocolate, but of course in less dozes.
All of that is creating the sense of satisfaction, happiness, fulfillment.
It's the same feeling which a scientist has while working on something and making a discovery.
It's been also scientifically proven that kids who start learning to play a real instrument develop their brain different from other kids which leads for them to be more open minded and having wide area of interests.

This is what all those idiots out there don't get it, they are not about creating music and experiencing "that feeling", they are about counting listens on Soundcloud, views on Youtube and likes on Facebook.
They are creating music because of fame and not because of being creative and to express themselves artistically. They don't want to explore anything, they are like factories producing shampoo.
EDM music is like that, like a shampoo, there's no difference, only package is different with a different font.
That's why they don't care, for them music is a shampoo and music is not art, but a product which you should sell, so why should they care about computer making everything for them because for them music is not an art form, but listens on Soundcloud, views on Youtube and likes on Facebook and money and fame.

When you start by learning a real instrument, music for you is all about expressing yourself through music, expressing yourself artistically, it's like learning how to draw and paint and you start developing your own style. Then you have all those idiots out there who go straight into DAW's while knowing nothing about music and go to Youtube to watch tutorials to replicate everything and just to place squares in piano roll to some different places, to torrent presets and shit and their involvement in creating music is like 1%.

In the end, even in 2100 you will have people discovering Led Zeppelin or Nirvana, while nobody would f...ing care about Marting Garrix and shit like that because it's a f...ing shampoo and nothing else.
There's nothing artistic about all of that crap.
The same way people will keep watching paintings of Rembrandt, Van Gogh and not someone's selfies from 2018 which were posted on Facebook or Instagram and that had even 1 million of likes, which also includes Kardashian's ass.
