From what I see all Antares software seems to require the physical USB iLok dongle.
The ones I have require a dongle. Haven't tried the soft lok.

LOL! Should have know someone would actually try it! :D

I think they are a "See how great we are? We are giving you a coupon!" thing that they don't really want to give out.
I wasn't just trying to get something free. I have a legit need for a replacement adapter for my S4, but nope, oh well. I'm not paying what they want for one though, they're just a shitty import adapter.

Got my Swing More! but ouch, did not see that VAT coming, so it pretty much cost almost as much as what I thought was the original price . I can't seem to get used to adding VAT to purchases since moving to NL. :ud: Anyway I got quite scared it wouldn't sound as good as I heard on demos because frankly nothing I've had in Kontakt up to that point had sounded good (factory library and retro machines only) but it sounds good, would even be better if I had a large midi keyboard but Push will have to do with velocity tool and whatnot. That was the last of my nonexistent budget for this year. Off I go to do some learning and programming then!

Thanks!
You can't use the vouchers on sales. You can't use the vouchers on upgrades. You can't use the vouchers on updates. <sarcasm>Pretty useful vouchers.</sarcasm>
Realized they might be useful if I didn't already own most of the products through KU11. And? You can buy a plug for your Kontrol or other Kontakt maschine for $25. So that would be the thing to get with it!

I guess if I were going to crossgrade to the full Symphony series, it would be good.

On another note, Musician's Friend has ProjectSAM's old Orchestral Brass Sample Library that plays out of some sort of Kontakt 2 player(?) for $49. I know ProjectSAM is usually decent stuff, but is this even worth it? I recently got the Kirk Hunter Brass.

You can’t use them on hardware.
You can’t use them if you have red hair.
You can’t use them on crossgrades.
You can’t use them during parades.
I do not like them, Sam-I-Boucher,
I do not like Native Instrument Vouchers!

They're pretty useless really - the only thing you can use them for is full price products, and it's normally cheaper just to wait for a sale!

On a more positive note, the free Phasis plugin is pretty cool and lends itself to a lot of interesting sounds, so I'm happy. So I guess I can say that this year from NI, I got Kontakt, Repika XT and Phasis for the princely sum of £127, which is absolutely fine by me :tu:
A bit fried in the higher freqs

At https://www.projectsam.com/Products/Swing/1460 it's $359.25, at JRRShop https://www.jrrshop.com/projectsam-swing-more it's $439.00. So apparently JRRShop does not have the 25% off sale.

Damn, knew hurrying was a bad idea. Oh well, noted.

Has anybody tried Roomer yet? https://www.jrrshop.com/nos-roomer

Saw the promotion for it but not much info aside from it being developed by a company that's made some decent audio hardware (mics, etc.). Not sure if the promotion is still valid, if it's actually been released or not, but curious on thoughts either way.

for a $50 plugin, it sounds pretty good.

that is the amount extra I spent on stuff I wouldn't have bought just to get the deal. Though I also got the free Galaxy X-Fx too. But the Propellerhead upgrade kind of covered that one. It has some different presets, like a pillow room and a closet, but also some big ones like diffuse hall and grand cathedral. I don't know that I would spend $200 for it, but maybe half that if I didn't have all those Eventide ones.

Where does it says it's $50? Maybe the offer has ended?

Day 4 Time+Space: 40% off Sound Dust Libraries

Not a name I'm familiar with. Any nods or takers?

This review is pretty enthusiastic about the Orgone Kontakt instrument on offer for £18.

These are very well done libraries that lend themselves more towards experimental stuff. I had my eye on Infundibulum for quite a while but I already maxed out my budget so this one needs to wait. Check out the videos, they give a good idea of what the instruments are capable of.
