Just wondered if there were any other 808 emus floating around other than Nepheton?

Revolution by Wave Alchemy includes the 808.

Yes, but not just single samples for the kits. It actually has the original knobs that move through different samples for different knob positions. So you've got the original functions and controls, and the sounds that resulted from those settings.sqigls wrote:this is samples init?Echoes in the Attic wrote:Revolution by Wave Alchemy includes the 808.

i know that would be a solid sound, but i can't run instruments like that...
I have a single SSD drive with about 10GB free...
plus my Tempest does a good job if i need genuine analog

i always thought this was almost 100% samples... but looking at it now (it's a bit vague but...),
Maybe it's a hybid affair?... I'm interested to know how much is sampled etc... the manual link is dead.

I actually think I'm going to buy a back issue of Computer Music with XILS Stix CM. I don't know how close to an 808 it can get, but it is only $5. I don't think it does individual out but it seems a good fit to compliment BFD and replace RMIV for my needs.

dude, if you have any dough, Drumatic 4. $30? much better sounding,
and much less douchey than that Stix thing.
or if you're on Windows, the earlier versions are free.

Genuine question: I was considering buying it.
