I don't get the confusion.
Repro is the family, which contains Repro-1 and Repro-5..
so Repro v1.1 would obviously contain both Repro-1 and -5.

Maybe renaming the Repro bundle is in order, maybe Repro Circuits would work, for example.

In a sense, I don't really care that it emulates a Prophet 5. I like it because it sounds amazing... so vibrant and alive and oozing character. It's a joy to play!wagtunes wrote:The thing is, it serves a purpose. Essentially, to emulate the original and it does an excellent job.Martin Simon wrote:So this synth has 2 OSCs?
So you can choose between pulse, saw and triangle waves?
8 voices polyphony?
A noise OSC?
A few modulation options?
Oh yes, and some FM too?
And, and, and.... it sounds vintage?
And this hasn't been done a gazillion times before?
And yet nobody at KVR is bitching?
It must be really good, then!
It doesn't do wavetables or granular or any of that fancy stuff. It's simple to program if for no other reason than there isn't a lot of options. So you have to get creative.
But if you want a Prophet 5, this is it.
That's why you buy it. If you want something else, you buy something else.

Use Repro-5 and adjust the voices to the desired amount between 1 and 8...egbert101 wrote:zvenx wrote: What happened to versions 2, 3 and 4?

In either case, you don't buy it if you're looking for a wavetable or granular synth. You buy it for the sound, regardless of whether or not you think or care it sounds like the original.pdxindy wrote:In a sense, I don't really care that it emulates a Prophet 5. You remind me of Jack Nicholson here:fluffy_little_something wrote:Regarding the title, is it really Repro -1.1? I thought the 1 refers to the monophonic nature...
And the Repro-5 should be named Repro-8

With synths and sound details you have!fluffy_little_something wrote:That's sick I am nowhere near that level of OCD
But that would make you a good sound designer if you take advantage of it
I have a different 'condition'. PTSD! Just to show that KVR is full of us, 'special' people!

Where did Repro touch you? I am assuming in the heart.

I wish I had a wavetable synth with the sound quality and character of RePro-5!wagtunes wrote:In either case, you don't buy it if you're looking for a wavetable or granular synth. You buy it for the sound, regardless of whether or not you think or care it sounds like the original.pdxindy wrote:

Repro-5 is not happy running in VEP. VEP 6 crashes when Repro-5 channel is selected. Repro-1 is working just fine. This is with the 1.1 release. Anyone else having an issue?
EDIT: disregard, I went ahead and deleted all the data files and .dlls. There was one older beta repro5 dll in the common directory. After reinstall, it seems to be ok. My template must have been pointed at the old dll.
