Dunno why, but I think no need for patterns in reaper.
Simply arrange your "pattern clips" to the left side,
than copy them to the rights side -copy them the way if you change the source, they will also change).
So there will be a song, built on patterns.
Am I wrong?

I'm totally uncertain about making this suggestion, since I'm barely beginning to fool around with the free versions, and haven't even begun to really wrap my head around them, but:

I'm surmising that you can plug these in as and where needed?

i think the OP is refering to sequencing or arranging clips?
i could be wrong...

I love me some Megababy! It looks like a commodore 64 half baked gui but it's powerful and it works great for my needs. It even has ratcheting which is nice for a little TD type sequencing. :tu:

Now there is something better, much much better, jeskola buzz++ for Reaper, hackey trackey and hackey patterns. Thanks to genius sai'ke. hackey patterns works not only with midi items, but audio as well, which is not available in original buzz.
