Behringer UCA XXX, Focusrite Forte, Apogee One all look interesting.

Anything better value/smaller?

The Steinberg UR12 is quite small, and good bang for the buck. Note though that it only has chinch outputs, no audio jacks. Won't matter of course, if you only use headphones with it, and, there's adapter cables for chinch on audio jack as well, of course.
