Well, I don't know any other synth that has its sound and morphing system. But like I said, if one exists, let me know what it is and I'll get it.
Korg Wavestation!

Anyway, the OP is comparing with Repro-5, so he clearly meant the Prophet 5 emulation not the VS emulation. Yes, Arturia comes with two in one synth, but RePro also comes with two different synths.
Well the Wavestation is worthless to me in the state it's in (can't read the darn thing) so the VS is the only synth like that I can actually program.
I'm sorry but we are not talking about you!
Well actually, in regard to MY specific question, we ARE talking about me as I'm the one looking for a synth that does what the Prophet VS does. I guess I needed to be more clear. One that does what it does and actually has a GUI that you don't need a magnifying glass to use. In that regard, I know of no synth like the Prophet VS.

Again, if you know of one, let me know.
I think it's better to start a new thread asking for Prophet VS alternative, so those who are interested can post there. Don't you agree?
This should be right up Wag’s alley.

WTF? LOL.

I mean it looks cool but does anybody here have any experience with it?

Not sure I want to be the guinea pig.

How did you even find this?

What makes the SCI Prophet VS better than the later Korg Wavestation?
Intel Core2 Quad CPU + 4 GIG RAM

I have both, and Repro-5 has a better resonance response and sounds more pleasing in general, especially with the great fx...
it definitely is an improvement over Arturia's emu...
but I still like Prophet V and VS and rate is it as a great softy, especially with the VS.

We're spoilt with all these excellent soft synths nowadays

Too skeuomorphic for my tastes :p

Although it's not a very well made video test, the filter comparison between the two is interesting.
I expected a bigger difference, tbh.

No, what this forum hates is the constant "Paid synths suck, free synths rock" hypocrisy when you've got thousands of dollars of paid synths in your signature.

Audio examples? I for one would welcome them if they contribute to the discussion.

Well you know what? If he wants to have any credibility with his constant bashing of paid synths and his constant praise of Synth1, them maybe he shouldn't HAVE a whole ton of paid for synths in his sig.

You think?

i'll take a free hw synth if someone gives it to me.
i don't say anything sucks, I own a few paid SW synths.
i just dont HOARD them with the mentality that
having all the most expensive SW synths will make my
music sound better like many people do.
now quit saying i say things i dont before i report you
the way you report other forum people. talk about hypocrisy.
