Human League + Linn Drum Machines

Human League's Dare is said to use the Linn LM1 and /or Linndrum, but I have not been able to find a snare in any sample set on the web, that matches the one most used on Dare. It is all over the album, and also on several others around the same time, like Men Without Hats "I Like".

Maybe it is processed, or transposed? Anyone know?

It's amazing how bad most of the Linn Drum samples out there are - the same few vanilla hits that utterly fail to capture what those machines could do. The few Linn variations were responsible for most of the 80s really. Iconic sounds like the Prince crack (a heavily detuned rim shot), Frankie... and yes the Human League. By far the best Linn collection I've found is from Beat Machine - http://www.beatmachine.co.uk/sample-packs.html , and a bargain too. Crucially it has a lot of the detuned stuff that made all those identifiable sounds.
