Is there a standalone audio file player that has all the tools integrated with it such as a scope, spectograph, etc? Light weight hopefully? It should also play mp3 files.

You asked for a standalone, but SampleMagic's MagicAB is a super-handy DAW plugin that I use for referencing. You can load multiple WAV or MP3 into it and switch between them with a click. There is A/B switching with RMS meters and waveform display, but no scope/spectrograph. Melda also has a MagicAB-"inspired" plugin that does this plus some stuff that MeterPlugs perception does. Don't know the melda product's name.

I strap MagicAB on the master bus, after processing, to reference the project against target pro tracks. Very fast and easy to use.

It´s named "MCompare" and is a very nice loudness matching plugin as well...
Regarding the Reference respectfully A/B comparison, it has a nice "blind test" feature as well :tu:
