Vengeance V-Verb was a big surprise for me. As part of a inexpensive 15 plugins bundle I did not expect a lot from it but I was very pleasantly surprised by this one.
I recently did a comparison of reverbs in my arsenal with the special focus of mixing for depth and locatability. For me it did the job best of all my reverbs (and I have a lot: Waves Reverbs, FabFilter, Valhalla, ArtsAcoustic, MeldaProductions and some more...)

What aspect of the price do you find ridiculous? I find them very fairly priced.VELLTONE MUSIC wrote:everybody say valhlala - are they really so good with these ridiculous prices

I think he meant that they're ridiculously low priced. Well, it's true that they offer a lot for the money. I just ask myself if they would be held in such high regard if each of them cost 150 €. Doubtful.

Considering 150 verbs often offer multiple algorithms, why make such a comparison? Phoenixverb is about 170 so you'd have to compare it against Valhalla Room, Plate, and maybe VVV for the Halls, combined.chk071 wrote:I think he meant that they're ridiculously low priced. On the other hand, Room, plate and VVV also offer multiple algorithms, and, even 150 € reverbs are often specialized in what they do, and not always jacks of all trades.

Actually, i bought valhalla shimmer on the strength of its sound. me and a friend were making deep tech, and this thing just blew us both away, so i bought a "proper" copy for us.
In fact, i was so happy with shimmer, i went on to buy vintage verb, which to be honest, doesn't sound anything special, but i bought and still use simply because i was so happy with shimmer, and decided i would trust this guy haha

Best budget reverbs ?
It's hard to go past TB Reverb 4,Valhalla Room or Freeverb 3....
You could realistically wrap up any project with just those reverbs....
Well....along with a bunch of inspiration

There is someone selling a license of UltraReverb and UltraChannel for $20 in market... Last one I think though! Good seller!

I really like UltraReverb since I picked it up. I think others have complained about it sounding thin... I haven't experimented with it enough to judge but I like what I have dunked around with so far!

Huge fan of Reverbical! It has a huge range of sounds and it's just fun to fool around with morphing and combining presets -- and sounds great, IMHO.

That said, I remember a thread where somebody commented that people are obsessing endlessly over a plugin that is usually mixed at about 20% wet running through the buss.

Very nice verb it has to be said, can go pretty deep designing your own spaces. Think it was the first non-DAW reverb I ever used and still holds up well.GreyLion wrote:Huge fan of Reverbical! If you have an iPhone or iPad, you could get Studiomux + the new Kosmonaut multitap delay (or Audiodamage Dubstation 2) and Audiodamage EOS2 and use the device as an outboard processor in your DAW for around $20 usd.
