Postby Andrew Souter; Thu Feb 22, 2018 9:47 am Re: 2CAudio Breeze 2.0 (Pre-Release) Available Now!

Speaking of getting various takes/perspectives on various sounds, all the Breeze Preset expansions are now online:

http://2caudio.com/products/breezeexpansions#_overview
https://www.designersound.com/66-breeze-expansions

In addition to the one I did (Simply Better Expansion), we now have Simon's:

https://www.designersound.com/breeze-ex ... nsion.html

Walk the line with a rarified Breeze of 200 cinematic, thematic, and ambient presets, created by a modern sound-design legend!

As the son of a composer and visual artist, Simon Stockhausen's musical and artistic DNA is basically san-gréal. Simon's extensive CV as a composer in contemporary classical and modern jazz is too long too list here. His work in German theatre and the world of orchestral performance is equally awe inspiring. His legendary work as a sound-designer is found in the factory banks of many leading companies such as Steinberg, Native Instruments, UVI, and many others. He is the founder of Patchpool.net where he develops and distributes content for over 20 different synth, sampler, and effects products. His work is heard all over the globe in major film, TV, and game productions.

Simon comments: "In Glacier Breeze I was striving to manifest the most extreme, most beautiful, most awkward, and above all, the most musically inspiring sounds I could conjure. I threw a myriad of different sources at it and the result was always somehow otherworldly yet strangely organic. I found Breeze 2 to be intense, huge, lush, and deeply inspiring. From ambient music and experimental soundscapes to effects one wouldn’t expect from an algorithmic reverb, I braved the elements many late nights, witnessed an aurora borealis or two and attempted to chart new creative territory in Breeze. I included special effects for all kinds of instruments and vocals. Additionally, I also included presets for orchestral processing, general daily-use reverbs, and some drum and percussion processing as I started to integrate Breeze into my contemporary classical composition, scoring and theater templates where I found it to be equally useful."

And we have another by Andrew Schlesinger, who has created many of the factory presets for many of the hardware legends over the past 30 years!

https://www.designersound.com/breeze-ex ... nsion.html

The Spacial Creatives Expansion is a bank of hyper-real, imagined and creative spaces for use in all forms of rock, post rock, synth pop, and contemporary electronic music production.

This expansion was created by Andrew Schlesinger of Synthetic Productions. Andrew has designed countless factory presets for legendary hardware device manufacturers including Lexicon, TC Electronics, Yamaha, Sony, Eventide, Roland, Korg, Kurzweil, Emu, Alesis, and Casio among others. His work can be found in a slew of seminal synth and effects products developed over the last 30 years which helped define entire periods of music culture. His highly regarded work has continued to this day via recent collaborations with software leaders including SoundToys, Spectrasonics, and now 2CAudio. Andrew also produces ambient and alternative electronic music under the artist alias "Synsect".

Den will update his (Simplicity expansion) to use 2.0 features shortly as well.

Between all of these you are sure to find old, new, conservative, freaky, tiny, huge, and everything in-between perspectives... :tu:

Breeze 2 Pack now has over 1000 presets to choose from. And each one can spawn infinite new variations with a simple click on the "Alg randomize" button. :borg:

understood perfectly.

yeah the hyperplate is nuts bro, love it.

so yeah, hyperspring should be a blast :P

Just to understand (I'm confused :) ), are the two completely new expansions (Spatial Creatives and Glacier Breeze) included for those among us who bought the Breeze 2 pre-release pack, or do we have to purchase them as a new product? (I cannot see them among my downloads.)
Well, I would buy them anyway, I'm asking just to understand better.

I bought the $100 pack including Breeze 1 and 2, as well as the two then existing preset packs. I’m sure somewhere it was said that would include Simon’s set when it came out, since that was a major plus for me. I can’t specifically recall whether the other additional set was specifically addressed.

Just got 2, haven't had time to try it much but so far it seems awesome.

Andrew, what is the story when using Old Factory 1 Presets in Breeze 2?
I assume you get the benefits of the new technology/sound but with the same settings from Factory 1?
Is that it, or does using Old Factory 1 Presets result in a sound analogous to what you got/get in Breeze 1 ?

cheers

UPDATE: some quick A B test between B1 and B2 using the same " Old" Factory presets indicates that B2 has a new sound in many presets.

He did say that Simon's is included. Would love to get a discount on the other new pack.

the v1 presets all use 1 of the 3 "classic" algorithms.
in my testing, the sound was very similar, v2 sounds different, but perhaps has more depth to it?
once you start using the other algos, Breeze 2 is in full effect!

Is other any point in using that with Breeze 2?
Or just wait for Den's update ?

v2 is generally slightly more CPU efficient if you are sticking to the 3 classic algorithms.

I got that one as well but i don't think we get any extras. Looks like its only the Breeze 2.0 pack ($124.95)
that gets these 2 new expansions. I purchased the Creative spaces expansion last night and used my loyalty points to get a $9 discount and i will get Simon's expansion after pay day if i have to.

I do wish i had just got the full Breeze 2.0 pack now though because it would have been cheaper in the end

Yeah, same question here. I bought the Breeze 2.0 Pack which is now advertised to include all the expansions for the same price, but my download page doesn't contain the two new ones.
https://www.designersound.com/breeze/22 ... -pack.html
Since the intro price is still on, I assume the expansions will be added to my account?
Would feel rather strange otherwise...

Cheers,

Yeah, they should be there for the Pack purchasers, right? Not there for me either. I tried logging out and back into my account, but that didn't work. Andrew will get is sorted.
