Rompulator has just been released!

Darker Digital presents Rompulator, a Kontakt-scripted ROM-synthesizer designed for multi-layer patches built from synthetic basses, brasses, strings, bells, choirs and more.
Rather than being pre-recorded, each single Rompulator instrument is created from up to three layers of looped multisamples inside Kontakt.
Thanks to this classic approach known from hardware romplers, Rompulator manages to have a low size of roughly 500 MB and virtually no patch loading time. The factory library consists of over 200 totally customizable patches. Rompulator's GUI and synthesis features have been optimized for multi-layer sound design. Rompulator is more than a bread-and-butter rompler, it's a three-layer ROM-synthesizer meant to be tweaked.

Rompulator comes in a Kontakt 4.2 version and a Kontakt 5 version, applying the new K5 ladder filter models.

Rompulator has an introductary price of $59, lasting until January 1st.

I just checked my mail to see if perhaps possibly you-never-know I've won a copy too. All I found was a mail saying "confirm your subscription".
So I just wasn't a contender after all

Anyways it's worth keeping an eye on this upcomming digi-synth library.

Haven't done any editing yet (only had an hour or so with it so far), but there are some cracking 80s/90s sounds to be had just with the presets. Bargain at the intro price.

Your company seems to be out of business which is a shame.

I'm writing after a hard-drive problem.

I have all of the Rompulator files backed up except the Graphics files which should be ''Copy and paste content into Kontakt picture folder''.

Can you send them to me?

I'm having the same issue, but not sure if there is anything that can be done if the developer has gone. Frustrating, because it does sound good. I wonder if it's worth looking at the Rigid Audio Kontakt script thing as a possible way of doing a new GUI.

Okay. Got it sorted.
In the main Rompulator folder there is a sub-folder with the description 'Graphics-Copy and paste content into Kontakt pictures folder'.
I did that and the interface is working once again!

Keep in mind that you need to copy the contents of the folder, not the folder itself, into the pictures folder, which is located in Documents/Native Instruments/Kontakt5/pictures on Mac, not sure about Windows.
