Avenger is very stable for me too.
MacOSX Sierra 10.12.6
Logic Pro X 10.4.0
I have absolutely no problem with it, and it's one of my all time favorites plugin synths.

Avenger-related crashes in Live 9 and 10 are pretty rare, but I do get them occasionally when closing the UI during playback, especially if it's a duplicated track with Avenger on it.
Tbh duplicating or copy + pasting an instance of Avenger is probably the most common cause of Avenger-related 'headaches' for me in Live. Relatively minor though, and easy to fix if I just save a preset and then load a new instance of Avenger in its place. Sometimes drag and drop modulation stops working. Sometimes undo stops working. It's not common enough to be a big problem for me, and hasn't really been common enough or inconvenient enough for me to bother with contacting support.
Avenger has been mostly stable and consistent for me since day 1. The cross FM update introduced a couple problems, but they were pretty quickly smoothed out with updates.
The one thing that does get on my nerves is I'm still getting that bug where the noise oscillator plays as static noise (and keytracks) maybe every 5th or 10th time I strike a key, so I can't use a noise osc. Have to just use the noise knob on an oscillator.

Can’t test it with Bitwig, but working without any crashes here with Live, Cubase 9.5 and Reason 10.feedbackmachine wrote: Please make your homework the right way. This state actually is not production ready.
Which OS do you use and which presets cause the crash? You could send the bug reports to Rene.

Never had a single crash, and I use Avenger in every song. Cubase 9.5, Win 8.1.
Please don’t read the above post. It’s a stupid one. Simply pass.

Thx Manuel, msvs wrote:to expand the modmatrix is already on our listaaaaaand.......**** the option to display the mod list in 'the space taken up by the preset browser. The mod section is too small, whilst the preset area is sitting unused most of time.
I think overall it would be good to have the most important windows open in the center of the synth.
Keep the structure as it is now, but open a large CENTER screen for :
- Content search
- Mod Matrix
- extra FX parameters
- Vman popup
- samples lib
Keeps the synth clean and structured, but layer the GUI as an onion

I just want skins that provide some visual separation between the functions and respond to different functional states. Looking at avenger for me is very much a wall of buttons and hidden hot spots.

But what's the alternative?
- less function?
- hidden menus?
As the lesser of all evils, I prefer to have everything under my nose where at least I stand a chance of seeing it.
The only tricky bit imo is the mod box, where everything's just that little bit smaller to see.
Especially as the mod box is the one place where I can make the sound something special, unique to me.
It's the only thing I miss about Spire, their lovely big mod section.
As a footnote, I use Studio One which has marvellous hot key methods of expanding hidden areas, so I can easily customise the way I'm working depending on what stage the project is at.
But maybe manuel & rene aren't that familiar with working with S1? (got to be careful here, don't want to be accidentally rude )

Manuel!
I have one other really important (or me feature request:
That is to be able to trigger each pattern of an arp with a unique midi note.
The reason is this:
Say you're doing an 8 bar Arp sequence (2 bars for each of the 4 patterns)
And you're tweaking bar two of pattern 4 (so, the 8th bar of the whole arp sequence)
Then you need to keep triggering the arp from the start and listen through to all the previous 7 bars, just to hear your tweak in the 8th bar.......which is quite tedious.
Sure, you could disengage the "play" button to the left of the patterns, but if you have other arps doing modulation, then stuff could get out of sync.
Sooooooooo...... it would be great to be able to do something like the following:
In your DAW track thats sending midi to Avenger, you could have midi notes trigger each pattern.
So, for example:
C1 triggers Arp 1, pattern 1
D1 triggers Arp 1, pattern 2
E1 triggers Arp 1, pattern 3
F1 triggers Arp 1, pattern 4
C2 triggers Arp 2, pattern 1
D2 triggers Arp 2, pattern 2
E2 triggers Arp 2, pattern 3
F2 triggers Arp 2, pattern 4
C3 triggers Arp 3, pattern 1
D3 triggers Arp 3, pattern 2
E3 triggers Arp 3, pattern 3
F4 triggers Arp 3, pattern 4
etc. etc.
That way you could go to any point on the playline in your DAW, and as long as you play from the start if a bar, tho Arp will play from the right point in the sequence, rather then trigger from the beginning of the 8 bar sequence.
In the GUI, it could be as simple as putting a "chain link" icon / button to the right of the "end note" field. When the "link" button is activated, changing the start / end note fields sets the same values in all 4 patterns. When not activated, a change in one pattern doesn't effect the other 3 patterns.
This would make it easier to work with and integrate longer arps with multiple patterns with your DAW playline.
Hope that makes some sense!

Using keyzones and the workflow below can get you a long way.
Create a ModEnv Trigger first midi note, synced, 16 length, ramp from zero to max. Map it to Arp pattern index (dissengage arp's play button). Set speed 1/10 - every time you play a note it will start with pattern A (the ramp starts at 0, and 0-25% will always target A, 26-50% B, 51-75% C, 75-100% D).
Because the speed is so slow for the ramp, it will stay at A for very long so you can tweak the arp. Once you finished with A, lift the start of the ramp at 26% and press play: now every time you press play the arp will start with slot B. C = 51%, D = 76%. When ABCD are in place, adjust the speed of the ramp accordingly so it will change the arp segments in sync with your song or just engage the play button again. You can even do it with a macro knob, however, with the modenv you can draw call-response variations like A-A, A-B or whatever.
