Here is my short entry. I have tried to make something different so it may not be for anyone . It was fun and Fathom is interesting synth. No copy protection on full version . It was instant buy for me.
Even with latest version I have clicks with ADRS modulator. Quite random but I also found when using unison detune and chord with perfect quantization (all notes start at the same time) it made click. After that I have humanized, set different delays for all notes and clicking is almost gone.

FL Studio 12.5.1
12 instances of Fathom Synth
DAW FX's:
1x Maximus
2x Fruity parametric EQ 2
3x Soundgoodizer
2x Fruity Reeverb
Other FX's:
3x VST zOne Amplio 2
6x VST zOne Quo

"Get up prince of Troy, I will not let a stone rob me of my glory"
Anyway, It's only fair I apologize to everyone who noticed their nice smooth melodies got chopped up by the last release.
There was a bug in the state machine for handling legato glide on a voice using ADSR's.
It's fixed and I'm testing it now, should be out in a couple hours.

I'm knee deep in my track, so I'm gonna be a wimp and wait for the verdict on the new release
I've also updated my WIP (page 10). Not sure what genre, but loosely inspired by the likes of Guenon and mmGhost and others around here.
Really starting to dig Fathom, not that I didn't before, but having fun now.

Just a touch of EQ and a tickle of compression

I just updated to 2.9.5 and Ableton says it can't locate the vst "Fathom" even though I see it in my plugin's list in ableton. Wasn't doing this before with 2.9.4. I can load Fathom and start patching no problem but I don't have any of my sound settings saved for any of my existing tracks now, would have to start fresh on all these. Anybody else having this problem?
Ableton Live 10.0.1
Mac High Sierra 10.13.3
Thanks

Rktect, I would suggest going here:
https://www.fathomsynth.com/updates/
And trying the Mac Sierra 10.12 Build (at the very end).
Then let me know what happens.

It turns out that it's much more cpu efficient to copy oscillators and slightly detune them, and pan them, rather than using the detuner.
There's no way to copy an oscillator and its modulators simultaneously afaik. I searched the manual as well. That would be excellent, if it were possible.
Fine tuning by clicking above and below the knobs is an excellent feature!

Dont feel bad, I have read the manual at least 10 times and still ask for features that are already there.bryemye wrote:Agreed on the elegance of the solution dB, just did not read closely enough apparently! Could be - I have built me a "SAW" patch with a left and right SAW. And I used the mod wheel to "morph" from both mid, both same pitch to one completely right with slight negative detune and one to the right with slight positive detune. That gives a nice broad sound...accompany that with two subtle reverbs (btw I use the send panning in cubase a lot) and subtley different ER-only...oh...did I openly tell sth. about my a mixing tools!?574X wrote:It turns out that it's much more cpu efficient to copy oscillators and slightly detune them, and pan them, rather than using the detuner.

I installed the Sierra build and it does the same thing. Anyway I could get the 2.9.4mac build and see if I revert back it solves it?FathomSynth wrote:Rktect, I would suggest going here:

Rktect, Hi, I sent you a PM.
But also, I had my Sierra workstation open, so I'm going to just go ahead and make you a version 295 build for Sierra with the new code with new features and bug fixes, but using the old plugin ID.
Hopefully your Ableton will think it is the same plugin, so you don't have to reload all your tracks.
OK, I sent you a PM with the new code built with the old plugin ID, I'm hoping that your host will like it and think it is the same plugin.
