If they find they have a duff version, just pull the damn thing to the last known working version.

WC is working fine here but I have not updated to newest the licensing engine that is in my updates list. Is that the problem being had?

This is getting beyond a joke now. I've supported Waves among many detractors, but when after 3 years their licensing system simply does not work, you gotta start rethinking things.

EDIT - as a note to self as much as anything, the current broken version is 1.3.6.3 - as and when the version changes it might be worth trying again.

I know. Waves Central performs fine. Only this afternoon I bought and installed a vst and was up and running in 5 minutes.

There is a known bug with Waves central and certain AMD videos cards whereby you have to disable the video card driver... set the resolution high enough to see the full wave central app .... authorizie the plugins.... renable your video card driver and restart your computer. It has been this way for at least a year.

My WC 1.3.5.5 works here. Curiously, it doesn't ask to update to install a plugin this time, though it has a button saying "updates available". Maybe because the plugins I'm installing are old.

I know this doesn't really answer your question on current ver., though.

Waves Central broken... again...
