Best and most fully featured multi analyser I've found is the Hofa one.

Melda's multi analyser is also very nice and not too pricey. Best to wait for it to cycle around to 50% off on their weekly sale though.

Blue Cat is also pretty good and DMG Dualism is one of my favourites, though not as flexible as the Hofa which can do offline batch analysis as well as save reference curves that include peak, max, average and energy curves of L/R/M & S.

Sir Audio Tools freebie is very decent but only lets you view plots side by side rather than superimposed. It does have a bandpass analyser option though which is nice if you are used to a hardware RTA or RME's digicheck.

I've yet to try Voxengo SPAN pro, but I expect that is top notch as well.

Cheers

I once thought I had mono for an entire year. It turned out I was just really bored...

TDR Nova is great for this. You can put it on the bass channel and sent to it the signal from the bassdrum channel on a sidechain. Then in Nova (still on the bass channel) you can switch the spectrum analyzer between the bass channel and the sidechain (bassdrum).

You can set Nova to EQ the bass whenever the kick drum hits. Since it's an dynamic EQ, it's possible to only EQ certain areas of the frequency spectrum, for example the areas of the spectrum that heavily overlap between the bassdrum and the bass.

Absolutely. Up to a tons of different audio sources, show m/s or l/r spectrum, adjust volumes for better display/overlay, zoom, resolution, save as references, not only frequency spectrum but also panning per frequency, ...

Your request is exactly what EEKJULIZA does.

Ive not had the patience or tenacity to work out how to actually get it to work across multiple tracks though as theres no documentation or video tutorial :dog:

Luckily I got it heavily discounted so not such a disaster

Amazon: why not use an alternative

Hofa also seems a little expenive..

Eekjuliza - great option....but the shop seems to be down? Also the dev is extremely unresponsive...I remember we discussed this sometime back @VarikusBrainZ (when plugin boutique had a sale on it)...

Can someone also clarify regarding DDMF IIEQ Pro? Why isn't this more popular/ talked about? How many instruments/ tracks can be compared in one instance?

It depends if you want the equalizer as well or not. As much as they can work together I tend to use the tools separately. I personally tend to EQ without visual cues and use analyzers for checking out things whenever needed.

I use the Melda MMultiAnalyzer all the time for this stuff. No EQ, just for monitoring.
I would also probably suggest to wait for sales, but if you use it as much as I do, which is seriously "all the time", the full price would be completely justified...
Drop an instance anywhere it's needed and it gets automatically routed in all other isntances... take 3 seconds to rename and change the color for immediate comparison between spectrums.
And while it's there I also use its tabs for freq-collisions, stereo-field monitoring and oscilloscope very often.

I used SPAN before, but the routing wasn't nearly as fast.

This looks very interesting and I had no clue about it. Thanks.

SpectrumAnalyzer from Sir Audio Tools, can display spectra from up to 4 tracks simultaneously
in the paid version, and 2 tracks in the free version. Not an EQ though, although he makes
an excellent EQ as well.

Waiting for the discount on this - should be able to pick it up for 30 Eur or so....don't the eternal madness discounts happen at JRR?

Blue Cat Audio or Voxengo would be my favorites. Easy to set up and use.

Thank you. This also works in conjunction with the Eternal madness discount, so you can actually make it 60% instead of 50%. Noice.
