Had them... Sold them and don't miss them.
There are better options about now (IMO). And they are totally overpriced, assuming you go for the actual individual plugins, and not the studio bundle thing (which can't handle 192 audio incidentally).
Plus the flux help team are utterly useless... That is to say, that they never responded to me when I had a problem with the limiter plugin.
Not bad plugins per se - Just overpriced, dated and with shit customer service (YMMV).

I love Flux plugins. They sound great. Very transparent—a really nice alternative to all the analog modeling plugins out there. The Epure EQ sounds better than most EQ plugins to me. As a previous poster said, the dynamics plugins are very powerful once you get to know them.
The analyzer really is amazing.
I have purchased almost all their plugins at this point.
I recommend the Session Bundle.

As an Avid HDX user, I use Flux Plugins, cause they are AAX DSP....
Epure is a great minimum phase Eq... Solera a good dynamic tool... and Alchemist ist wonderful in mastering..

It seems pretty light so far, but I haven't had time to really check it out yet.axb312 wrote:Anyone know what the CPU usage of the EVO channel is like?
It also produces a very small amount of latency.
BTW, it supports soft iLok so anyone can give it a try.

The ePure EQ is good, but I sometimes find the UI and and number of bands a bit limiting. I also did an informal test of all my limiters (and limiting compressors) and I think Pure Limiter is an excellent limiter with a very transparent sound even when slammed hard.

Just out of curiosity, what do you use for a comparable/better spectrum analyzer?Robmobius wrote:Had them... Sold them and don't miss them.

Anyone done some more in-depth testing yet of the EVO Channel?

I haven't done any measurements or anything like that, I do like it quite a lot,Tappistry wrote:Anyone done some more in-depth testing yet of the EVO Channel?
and will probably go ahead and buy it. Took me a while to determine that,
due to the snazzy UI. By that I mean, I wasn't sure how much I liked it for
the sound vs the great (imho) UI.
The thing is super transparent, so much so that I often have to turn it up
pretty loud to hear what it's actually doing very well, and I believe that's
a fair amount. This is a tool thats going to shape your sound while leaving
it mostly intact. You're not really going to get a booming drum bus out of it,
or be able to color your sound tremendously with the drive component.
But if you want pristine sounding, precision oriented sound sculpting in a
pretty comprehensive channel strip, it's definitely worth a look IMHO.
The touch component is especially nifty and useful with it's varied modes
and surgical precision. The EQ and compressor are very good, and
work well as part of the system, although I doubt they will kick anyone's
favorites to the curb. There is an expert mode that will facilitate deeper
adjustment as well. The phase component grouping is also quite nice.
There is still much that could be done to make this plugin better, and I
guess more is planned by the dev's that didn't make it into the initial
release, band soloing for the EQ and whatnot.
Anyway, I think it's pretty cool, well designed and executed...

You seem to echo some sentiments of a review video I watched yesterday. I think it was by In the DAW.

Good customer service is extremely important. A dev can have arguable the best plugins in the world, but if they take a month to get back to your urgent problem, then it’s not a good thing.krzys wrote:Just to give balance from previous post. I found their customer service to be helpful and active. Other's experience may vary.
I feel a poor customer service devalues a company.
Fortunately for Flux, their tech is also good, with a few unique plugins that will be hard to find elsewhere.
