That's not free. You can sample and use anything for personal use.

Educational/research? Not much of a value add. This is a pretty specious offering honestly. :?

5.25"? What kind of novelties is that? I use punch-cards!

+1

With so many restrictions, why release these at all? Pointless IMO.

I'm downloading direct to my tape drive. It adds nice analog warmth to the sounds.

Thats some great thinking there.

Personally I can't decide on Dolby B, the other Dolby B or Dolby C.

Strange thing i found with most long file (just sort the list by Duration), this is 07055254.ogg (1607 sec) with description "Mid-race with PA & passes at intervals (1994 Silverstone Grand Prix)".
I open this in Audition, and see only about 52 sec. actual material in beginning, the other time just clipping noise like digital fault. Its just for me ? Or really some broken sample in their archive.

what method are you fellas using for bulk downloading ?

interesting... though almost 300 GB and very restricted use?... hummmm... there's a search function at the top right corner of the page, so better bookmark the collection url and use it only if really needed, by searching key words. I've tried a few key words, and the search function is highly effective.
Anyway, worth keeping the url, so, thanks to the OP :tu:

paulbreeze provided a document with all file names. I removed all the data after after .wav, then copied the list of file names to Notepad++, where I added the destination (based on paulbreeze's link) in front of every file name. Exported the list to .txt format and imported it in a software called Mass Download.
