Jasinski -- do you use OTT on entire mix or individual tracks? I have found it to be useful on individual tracks but never across a mix. Curious what you do. Thanks.

I also find that using tremolo can in fact sound like vibrato - the brain gets fooled. Quite like Pecheneg tremolo - nice control, and works great when you automate its params!

Oh yes, nice track Peter. Still need to find time to work on mine. Been to Bruges for a few days, now I am building a new bathroom - from scratch, everything stripped out.

Yes but I set the amount to like 10% or less. Just to bolster the over all mix. I don't know if that's advisable. It seems good though.

Somewhere there was a discussion about how FX change the sound of the tracks and how this takes away the focus from the synth towards a mixing challenge...

Was expecting a lot more entries by now.. or maybe folks are still working on 'em up to the last moment.

I know I'm having some mixing issues, trying to tone down all these punchy/bright FM sounds.

LOW PASS EVERYTHING!! lol Even if heavily high passed :/ Then just run it all through Klangelstein's Mixer Fixer vst using the Moderate Ear Bleed preset.

OK OK OK .... to keep up with the fashion and norm this month I have updated my track too! I have toned down the kick (sorry thump enthusiasts!), reworked the backing sounds, Eq'd the hell out of the leads, and added in a whole new layer of harmony layered under the melody (hope you can hear this - it's not on every note of the melody lines, but I think it's effective).

Also changed the horn stabs to harmonica sound now ... hope it makes sense ... he just stands there with the mic pushed into the harmonica, peering over his shades

He gave the horn section their marching orders ... sorry Terje!

Also muttered under his breath, I can play more than one note at a time fellas, AND I can play when I suck AND blow, so there!

Peter - you won't feel the sub coz your feet won't stop tappin'! hehe!

DR now 10 (mainly lowering the kick!)
