Regarding the timing problems: I noticed that in some synths (Hybrid 3 for instance, if I remember correctly) the LFO timing varies with the sampling frequency used in the DAW. When I changed the sampling frequency, the vibrato I had on one of my patches was way too fast all of a sudden.
Maybe that also happens in Mod...

THat could be explanation ,atm dotted /triplets are now correct but playing twice as fast as indicated ( latest beta ) .fluffy_little_something wrote:Regarding the timing problems: I noticed that in some synths (Hybrid 3 for instance, if I remember correctly) the LFO timing varies with the sampling frequency used in the DAW. In previous beta's triplets and dotted where totally mixed up, which is still the case with tal sampler and tal bassline .
In talsampler/bassline dotted are played as triplets / twice as fast and vice versa , I already sended a bug report ..

Every update make my Bitwig tracks with Talmod loaded silent sometimes .
So I have to delete the Synth from the track and load it in again (if I was lucky enough to save my preset).
Win7 x64, Bitwig 2.2

It's very annoying when time-based parameters of a plugin change when the project sample rate changes. This is a really bad situation and something that every dev should test out extensively. I can't tell you how many plugins I have that I can't use in anything but 44.1k because the timing changes. This also includes playing back samples/wavetables etc at the same "pitch" regardless of project sample rate.gentleclockdivider wrote:THat could be explanation ,atm dotted /triplets are now correct but playing twice as fast as indicated ( latest beta ) .fluffy_little_something wrote:Regarding the timing problems: I noticed that in some synths (Hybrid 3 for instance, if I remember correctly) the LFO timing varies with the sampling frequency used in the DAW. I emplore all devs to thoroughly test in all sample rates to ensure consistency. Some of us do not stick to 44.1k.

Hello to all,
Do you all send carefully your bug reports to Patrick ? And explaining perfectly when it occurs and how ?
For the record it is here:

I found something odd .
When amp decay is set to full , the shape knob of the decay is just affecting the length and not the actual shape ( exponential, linear , log ) , seems like a cheap workaround
In the screenshots you see 3 samples , with the decay set to full (no sustain /release )
The shape knob fully counterclockwise , middle and full right ...this woul be .exp/linear/log
However they all appear to be linear ., iow the shpae knob only affects lengths ...
This happens when the decay is above 0.55 ..
It's verry unatural behaviour , long decays become linear ..when shape is set to exp (fully left )
I assume , a square function is aplied to the envelope's output when the decay length increases .
Which would explain the linear behaviour

THe envelope linear bug applies to all stages above a certain treshold , no matter the shape ...they are all linear
Here attack/decay set to 0.60 , with 3 different positions
