Spiking with the Telecaster Instrument

Sorry if this has been covered before but I am getting large random spikes from the Telecaster TCII VST instrument - perhaps every 2 minutes. It's very troubling because it's almost impossible to mix anything down.

I would very much appreciate the solution.
