Hi to all,

unfortunately I couldn't find a topic like mentioned above in the last few years.
I know that there is the free Synth1 which I like but I read that it is not that close in all sounds compared to the original.
What are your favourite plugins to emulate the Nord Lead synths nowadays?

Cheers! :phones:

Discovery is supposed to be a Nordlead emulation, but people often say it soulds kind of close but no sigar. Also there is a free Reaktor synth

Never owned a Nordlead so I can't comment how close they actually are. I think that Discovery does the classic psytrance sounds typically associated with Nordlead quite well.
You may think you can fly ... but you better not try

I have a nord modular g1 , which is a nord lead 2 on steroids..it can sound exactly like a nord lead when the nord filter is used .
The closest in sofwtare is discovery
Eyeball exchanging
Soul calibrating ..frequencies

Synth1 is not the 'best' but......
Functionally it is modelled on the Clavia Nord Lead 2 Red Synth.

Amazon: why not use an alternative

Synth1 is also more of a simulation than an emulation?

So, concluded: no real alternative in 2018? What a pity! :(

Discovery Pro is the only option (afaik) if you want to be able to import/export Nord Lead 2 SySex's. I don't have any opinions about the authenticity of the sound though, since I don't own the real thing.

What's about authenticity compared to the original in your opinion (due to only four star ranking)?

Perhaps you meant to write 'semantics'? ;-)
