I love Kick 2 as well - it makes it really quick to created tuned kicks. You can snap the envelope points to scale notes rather than making minute adjustments to some 'tune' knob until it sounds good enough. I'm a big fan of tuned drums. D16 PunchBox is also intriguing (and/or the Rob Papen one if that is similar), but that will be a consideration for next month's plugin pennies.meldavid wrote: I really like Kick 2's clickable waveform for making laser kick sweeps but Rob Papen Punch BD has up to SIX sample/synth layers! I think I will eventually end up getting Kick 2 as well as some of the kicks I programmed in my short two-week trial sounded awesome.

That would be Antares Throat. If you high pass your voice before hitting Throat, you can create very convincing female vocals:meldavid wrote:Dear Plug-in developers,
Enough with the monsters, gender-benders and vocoders. What I really need is something to transform my awful nasal & lispy voice into a professional pop singer's voice. Is that too much to ask for? :p

Also, Soundtoys Microshift and Eventide Ultra Channel’s Micro Pitch Shift create a radio-ready vocal sound. A famous engineer once told me the H3000 patch they are emulating is his instant “KROQ effect”.

Hey Uncle E, I guess you don't have just Hollywood Orchestra Diamond? They have it for $466 at Soundsonline. I see you have a better deal if I get the solo instruments also, but not just the plain diamond.

Here’s hoping Studio will be part of Logic Pro.
I don't know the details: Grace period etc.) Anyway, it's developed with partners like Presonus in the background so i guess you'll have to keep dreaming.
But we can continue, in any case...
P.s. ARA2 for the Live approaches mine, in this connection, but as mentioned in this thread, that's in vain...

Thanx, but I'm not a big fan of Papen stuff lately (tried Punch and Punch-BD) and I only own RP-Delay anyway. I also own Kick 2, but I want BigKick too. I'll wait for another sale, because this one on KVR adds VAT, and $37.2 doesn't sound like a great deal to me right now.meldavid wrote:Also check out this Explorer 4 deal if you own 3 Rob Papen plugins as you get a lot of plug-ins for the money. https://www.timespace.com/products/rob- ... 2014458378e@rs wrote:Tempted by the PB BigKick sale in the KVR Marketplace. Never bought anything from there; do they offer the option to pay with PayPal?
A lot of the plug-ins I already had equivalents of in Sonar Plat & Komplete 8 or other VSTs, but I had been lusting for a kick generator and Raw for quite some time so it was a great deal. I probably didn't really need Raw if I just programmed Z3ta with distortion plugs, but the value is in the included presets!

I added it to the site for you and you'll see a good extra discount in cart. Please PM me if you need us to send you the hard drive:dzilizzi wrote:Hey Uncle E, I guess you don't have just Hollywood Orchestra Diamond? They have it for $466 at Soundsonline. Does EW ever offer a deal on the opposite of that—just Solo Instruments Diamond?Uncle E wrote:I added it to the site for you and you'll see a good extra discount in cart. Noticed that Melda's MBassador is on discount, any point getting this if I've already got the Brainworx Subsynth? Noticed it adds harmonics but not sure if that's such a big deal if I can add those with saturators and/or exciters anyway.

I don't think there is a Solo Series Bundle.

I like MBassador better than Subsynth but they do pretty much the same thing.shonky wrote:Noticed that Melda's MBassador is on discount, any point getting this if I've already got the Brainworx Subsynth? Thanks for replying, that'll save me a few quid and hard drive space. Think I'll demo MCombMB out of this week's selection, think I've got most bases covered but do like their more quirky plugins (bought MGranularMB and MMorph in recent weeks and loving those).mgw38 wrote:I like MBassador better than Subsynth but they do pretty much the same thing.shonky wrote:Noticed that Melda's MBassador is on discount, any point getting this if I've already got the Brainworx Subsynth? You mean for Diamond? Because of course there is a bundle:Uncle E wrote:I don't think there is a Solo Series Bundle.

I’ve often wondered why there doesn’t appear to be a Diamond version. In fact, I think the files are literally on the drive that comes with Diamond Orchestra. If they ever put the licenses for that bundle on sale, it would catch my interest.
