The only thing I can think of with your description is this...

A screenshot would be helpful. Without one, I'd say @Chapelle has the best guess. But you'd probably remember installing that, and you almost certainly wouldn't want it on your DAW, anyway (if this is your DAW we're talking about here).

Why wouldn't you want F.lux it on your DAW? Certainly saves your eyes on late night sessions.
