I'm just in the process of uploading >2000 new wavetables for current users of the wavetable library that I've produced. All wavetables are compatibile with Icarus, Serum, Falcon and similar synths that use wavetables with 2048 samples per cycle. There are also 64x128 sample cycle versions for Waldorf Blofeld compatibility. I'm not aware of any single library anywhere that has >2000 entries!

However, I have dropped DUNE2 support. That is because DUNE3, which I am involved with testing, imports wavetables of the 2048 sample variety and can also export DUNE2 wt format for use in DUNE2. DUNE3 still also uses the wt format! The problem for me is that the file size is quite large and takes up more of my cloud space than is necessary. If this is a problem for you then let me know and I will convert them for you, however, you can also use the excellent Audioterm program for conversion yourself.

For Blofeld wav->syx conversion I recomend Waldorf Blofeld Wavetable Creator 1.00 from:

http:/lady.rdsor.ro/~kotro

The wavetables being uploaded are all computed in Mathematica 11. I have developed simulations fro various FM synths, Casio CZ/VZ synths, analogue waveforms filtered with unusual (non-existent) filters, Karplus Strong type sounds as well as Karplus Strong cycles and other waveforms, e.g., analogue, fed in to the FM algorithms to simulate those FM synths that use AWM samples as inputs. I have also used some signal (mode) decomposition techniques that I currently use for my work to split samples in to different frequency bands since I miss the LP>BP>HP morph filter from DUNE1 so much!

There are now over 2500 wavetables in the library and if you haven't bought in to the free lifetime updates then you can do so here:

It costs £10 - that's 2 pints of beer where I live :D

I've had some questions from various users and potential users a long the line of:

"Can I use these wavetables in my own free/commercial soundsets?"

The answer is yes with the following criteria:

1) You acknowledge the source of the wavetables, i.e., my website - https://charlesdickens.neocities.org/
2) You give me a copy of the soundbank(s) - I won't use any of the content for my own enterprise don't worry. It's more to see what people do with the wavetables :)
3) You are allowed to use 25 wavetables per 100 patches.

If you want more than that then please contact me and we can discuss further :)

Having just seen what the format for IL Harmor wavteable files is (thanks to PietW and his thread on Virus wavetable conversion to Harmor), all of the wavetables that I added recently (>2000) are now available in IL Harmor format. I'll upload these to the respective user areas of the course of the weekend. I'll then get to work on converting older wavetables to this format.

Hi Mark,

I am planning to buy this on Monday please can these new wavetables as well as the existing also be compatible with Dune2? I am also looking for tue single cycle waveform for the Jp8000.

Please let me know. I also have a few waveforms that I may need your help in converting

The older ones are in D2 format already - about 500 of them. I should be able to make a Windows only utility for you to convert wav files to D2 format yourself.

I have a JP8080 as well as plenty of other hardware and one of my near future projects is to start sampling those to make wavetables. I've already written the code to do the automatic conversion!

Thank you very much!! That will be awesome!

I've just added an old bank of DUNE1 patches to everyone's user are. I used to sell these for £10 and they were rather popular. So if you have DUNE1, but haven't used it since DUNE2 came out then maybe you could show it a bit of love  :hihi:

Also, I was told earlier that Harmor format wavetables work in Terratec Komplexer.

I've added 198 new wavetables to each user's area: MH RMPM (99WTs) and MH TZFM (99WTs) in each of the formats that I've mentioned.

Hi Piet,
They're available for purchase for £10. This buys you all formats and lifetime free updates.

There are almost 3000 wavetables in the library now.

The purchase link can be found here:

https://charlesdickens.neocities.org/

There are free wavetables for each format except for IL Harmor. I'll rectify that asap!

Cheers,

Mark
