Pitch / gate tracking oscillators

Putting this here although it could also have been in instruments or modular.

Would anyone care to mention cross platform ( Mac / PC ) effects or synths that have pitch tracking oscillators ?

The mouth by NI is a good example of being able to take percussive material to generate bass lines riffs etc.

Does anyone know other products that can do this ?

Ms20fx can also do this but the results are not too good.

Madrona Labs Virta is well worth looking at. As well as pitch, other 'qualities' of the incoming audio are converted into modulators: pitch, brightness, centroid, gate (trigger), amplitude, and noisiness. You can hook up any of these modulators to the internal synth's oscillator pitch, or indeed any other destination.

u-he zebrify. Included with Zebra. It is a separate fx plugin. Works quite well but does not connect to zebra patches. Need to make your own.
