Hellow.
I am searching for a VST instrument wich can read Giga programs. I know Halion can import it and then saves it and convert it to Halion program. But isnt there some softsampler like Gigasampler wich actually streams the Giga program from the HD without importing/converting it first and can be used in Chainer as a plugin? .. If I convert them all into Soundfont or Akai akp programs, I end up with too much multi samples! Thx a bunch |

Kontakt can read giga files without converting them provided you turn off the option to convert it to a DFD compatible format (I have DFD turned off anyway) ---- My free patches here http://fingermarks.co.uk/music2.htm My Soundcloud page: http://soundcloud.com/amused ![]() |

But I think Ill just convert them in Halion Programs with Halion. It seems to work fine. Anyone tested MOTU Machfive on PC? It reads S5000, S1000/3000, Giga, Soundfont, etc.. Also streams from disk. |

ikke wrote: Yes I know. But only if the files are converted to nki format. So you need to turn off that off in the options and then it will read giga files without asking to convert them. ---- My free patches here http://fingermarks.co.uk/music2.htm My Soundcloud page: http://soundcloud.com/amused ![]() |
