Mod edit:
Please put any feature requests for CamelSpace and CamelPhat in this thread. That way, all the ideas will be in one place if/when the products are updated. Thanks Gday Minor thing, it would be nice if the preset selector hilighted the current selected preset, and if the preset browse arrows were light blue or an easier colour to see. Great plugin ! al. |

I would like to see more made of CSpace.
I use it literally all the time, and miss certain features where I have to go outisde. Chorus would be nice. Nothing too fancy - just a good chorus An auto-wah too. It would add to the sonic possibilities. Last but not least, I'd like a quick and dirty graphic EQ similar to the one found on rgcaudio's z3ta+. This is such a useful and uncomplicated sound-shaping tool. I make all these suggestions as CSpace is my top New FXplug For 2005 - and I'd like to see it get even better ---- Member 12, 8 core laptop, Maschine, Alchemy***, Massive, Taylor 814ce Acoustic Guitar, Crafter Acoustic Bass, Presonus Studio One v2 (love it to bits) RMX, Sylenth (sold), Blue (neglected), Omnisphere, DCAM, Kontakt (now upgraded) |

----I 2nd the request for a chorus, if you're counting votes ha-ha, never been a flanger fan myself, and a 3 band e.q. would be another bonus. But if I had to pick, I'd take the chorus anyday. CamelSpace is pretty cool already, so I'd hesitate to ask for any fairly major updates, but considering the history of Cameleon and CamelPhat, something tells me CamelSpace will learn a new trick or two in the future whether we ask for it or not. I wonder how a chorus would sit with the rythmic nature of Camelpace though? Quote: and a 3 band e.q. would be another bonus.
Notch filter and peaking filter can kind of be used as dynamic eq's! Certainly the notch filter in cp3 is pretty much the only filter type I use, its my secret bass weapon... |

The only thing I'm really missing atm is a FORMANT filter (for CamelSpace). Last edited by AlienForce on Sun Oct 30, 2005 4:10 pm; edited 1 time in total |

you can't - the only way is to load multiple instances of the plugin, but I think if you load a few instances with only one effect enabled it shouldn't be using too much more cpu than one instance with the same number of effects enabled. |

When the Phat/Space plugs are receiving automation, this data clogs up the global "value" display, so if you try to adjust an additional knob in realtime you don't get any useful feedback from the display. I suggest giving a knob exclusive control over the value display while it is being moused. ---- ![]() |

Yeah I've already given Ben a nudge about this! |

I would like to see a "High Damping"-button for the reverb in CamelSpace.

more panning and spatial options.. like mid/side and some pseudo stereo modulation stuff.. and actually why not an all-in-one flanger/chorus/phaser type effect.. pull a synth1 and make it multipurpose.. ---- "Use the talents you possess, for the woods would be very silent if no birds sang except the best." - Henry Van Dyke |

What makes the rgcaudio z3ta+ graphic eq so neat is that it has a number of modes: Wide, Half, Low, Mid and High. Each of these modes has fixed eq slider frequencies. You have to see it to know exactly what's meant, but the upshot is that it's a fast, varied and characterful sound shaping tool. Fun. You can cut chunks or boost chunks of frequency very quickly and get immediate feedback. This would be particularly useful for taming or cleaning up some of CS's wackier sounds, where too much of the audio spectrum is dominated. A good graphic eq will allow cutting holes in the middle to leave room for another instrument, while boosting highlight frequencies and sweet spots. I know a standard VST eq plug will do this - outside of CS. But the beauty of CS is doing it all inside CS. ---- Member 12, 8 core laptop, Maschine, Alchemy***, Massive, Taylor 814ce Acoustic Guitar, Crafter Acoustic Bass, Presonus Studio One v2 (love it to bits) RMX, Sylenth (sold), Blue (neglected), Omnisphere, DCAM, Kontakt (now upgraded) |

Another suggestion - function this time, instead of sound.
To find a value, eg a delay rate, it would be nice to simply click (or even rollover) on the knob to read the knob value in the panel. Currently the knob has to be moved for the value to be seen, ie, rotated to the adjacent value for that to be seen. Dunno if I've said this right. But ... values visible on rollover would be well handy. ---- Member 12, 8 core laptop, Maschine, Alchemy***, Massive, Taylor 814ce Acoustic Guitar, Crafter Acoustic Bass, Presonus Studio One v2 (love it to bits) RMX, Sylenth (sold), Blue (neglected), Omnisphere, DCAM, Kontakt (now upgraded) |
