If this thread's still alive I'd like more distortion options.
What there is already is nice, but ... well, think about the mix. There's your prize sound sitting in the middle and there's CamelSpace trying cut the sound into the rest of the mix. This means distortion - subtle, gross, or whatever sounds best. So another distortion, maybe more guitarry, or rock organ-like ... mmm ---- Member 12, 8 core laptop, Maschine, Alchemy***, Massive, Taylor 814ce Acoustic Guitar, Crafter Acoustic Bass, Presonus Studio One v2 (love it to bits) RMX, Sylenth (sold), Blue (neglected), Omnisphere, DCAM, Kontakt (now upgraded) |

This isn't a suggestion, and more of a general comment, but it probably belongs here.
Since Camelaudio's auccess with Phat and Space we now see the FX Rack concept being copied widely, and the competition stiffening up. So for Camel to stay ahead of the pack and sustain their first mover advantage, they have to come up with some good stuff. Maybe getting Tim on board is part of that Watching and waiting ![]() ---- Member 12, 8 core laptop, Maschine, Alchemy***, Massive, Taylor 814ce Acoustic Guitar, Crafter Acoustic Bass, Presonus Studio One v2 (love it to bits) RMX, Sylenth (sold), Blue (neglected), Omnisphere, DCAM, Kontakt (now upgraded) |

...here a suggestion, maybe difficult to perform/program:
I would like to have different pattern lengths. F.e. pattern one can have 1/1 lenth, pattern two 1/2 an so on. wkr xd |

I'd love to be able to replace my ageing Digitech Studio Quad multi FX. For this to happen Camel Space would need:
1. Fully adjustable signal flow - the way it's done in the Quad is longwinded to say the least, but the function is there. 2. Chorus + a phaser( in addition to the fanger, present). 3. Pitch shifting - not for corrective work, but rather experimentation. Some of the sounds I get from my Quad, which use pitch shifting in combination with other FX , are just perfect for certain sounds, especially pads. 4. the EQ options, as already outlined by Kevvvv. Thanks! |

More of request than suggestion. I could use a tutorial with musical examples on how and even more to the point on what sounds to apply CamelPhat3. I am having little luck finding a use that makes sense to me when applied as an insert. Maybe it doesn't fit the style of music I make, I dunno.
Thanks, Gordon |

Am I embarrassed to admit this and was too afraid to say? But, yeah ... me too I've had quite of few goes of using CP3 on drums, but the sound seems to end up uber-bangy rather than, say, sweet or supersolid, so I usually move on to another effect, or settle for a straight comp Not at all like CS, which I use frequently as a swiss army knife and get great results out of
Thanks for being honest enough to spill the beans on this, Gordon There's now a little club of two who are crap with CP3 ---- Member 12, 8 core laptop, Maschine, Alchemy***, Massive, Taylor 814ce Acoustic Guitar, Crafter Acoustic Bass, Presonus Studio One v2 (love it to bits) RMX, Sylenth (sold), Blue (neglected), Omnisphere, DCAM, Kontakt (now upgraded) |

Er, 3. I've STARTED finding some uses for it, and I always like it when I try it, but it rarely seems to WORK.

Thanks Kevvvvv! CS is a breeze to use and seems to fit in everywhere. However, CP3 to my ear is too heavy duty a mangling processor i.e., an Industrial music plugin, for me. My stuff is nothing at all like the limited number of Industrial tracks I have heard and I don't like to process tracks beyond recognition. I can accept the fact that I may not be able to use CP3. I have not heard many example of tracks where CP is predominant so I may be way off. Some instruction would be very welcome. Cheers, Gordon |

Maybe it's a music style/genre thing? Any examples of what CP3 is best used for would be very helpful.
Thanks, Gordon |
