Aodix could be a fantastic piece of audio software if it was offering a little more.
A native sampler, even rather basic, would be a very nice addition and would justify the $75 price tag. It would also really benefit from coming with a mixer plugin in the vein of the one that comes with Energy xt and which would be automatable in the sequencer.

It also has a pretty questionable way of dealing with some of the functionaties it offers. Last time I've tried it you couldn't audition perfect loops when looping between two cue points if your latency setting was too high(I'm talking asio like latencies here). The midi import seems to map midi tracks to aodix tracks on a 1=1 basis. It won't import chords and spread each note of the chord to different channels but do some sort of a very fast strum of the chord on the channel the chord has been imported in. It's a shame since even free apps like Modplug can do that perfectly. The rendering options are also quite puzzling. Why not to allow users to choose between wav and raw, 16 or 32 bit, 44khz or more etc... instead of that 32 bit raw format only?

What pisses me off the most is that Aodix has the potential to become something absolutely amazing and pretty revolutionary but it seems that its developer isn't really puting much effort in it.

We'll put an announcement on our site soon. For the moment Aodix project definitivelly is set on hold, there wont be any updates for the moment.

I'm currently working for Image-Line, sorry people, but you have to understand this it's better for my interest.

Oh, that sucks. Hopefully the Aodix licensees can be given some kind of discount on FL Studio or Directwave to maintain some goodwill.

Cheers,

Arguru, I've never complained when one of your projects have been tossed to the side because that's just the way it has always been. The big difference here is that this time it's a product that people purchased. I've tried being patient and I kept wanting to hold out thinking that this would be the app I would devote myself too but yet again we are let down. It's understandable that working for Image Line is a promising career but it feels like you lost love for Aodix a long time ago. If you aren't going to continue development please release the code.

What's wrong people ? Aodix is a piece of software that is currently running properly, and it has many features, of course, it could have more, but it is currently more than satisfactory.
Besides, Aodix is NOT adandonned at all.
And of course, support for registered users is available.
