I made a new song "Happy Pro-Wave" with the new John Bowen
synth Pro-Wave.
The bass, the synth brass, and the synth flute are
the Pro-Wave.
The other instruments are Hypersonic 2.
I am very happy with the combination of Pro-Wave and
Hypersonic 2. That is all I need to produce a track.

"Happy Pro-Wave" demonstrates the Prophet 5 sounds of the
Pro-Wave.

On my first Pro-Wave track "Wale song" I use the PPG sounds
of the Pro-Wave.

I would like to get some comments from you.

very nice orchestration and arrangement. I really like the 1st melody the flute plays.

Hello marcocouk,
you can get the Pro-Wave from John Bowen:
www.zargmusic.com
But it is only for Creamware Pulsar cards

While I cannot provide any technical advice regarding improving your composition (as I am a retard when it comes to actually producing enjoyable music), I would like to add that I enjoyed the song. It reminded me of some of J.M. Jarre's works (and a bit of Vangelis). Now I have the urge to find my copy of Jarre's "Oxygene" and Vangelis' "Bladerunner" soundtrack. :D

oh thats cool, is ProWave=the QuantumWave by John?
I heard the Quantum is 4 monster synths in one, so its a dsp killer...
:)

If you would tell me these are analog synthesizer sounds I would believe it....
nice
The Creamware synths seems to be the last relicts, that its possible for digital synths to sound like analog synths. And that in a world where everybody uses VSTis over analog gear just for their flexibility.

nice song, nice arrangement.
The lead sound reminds(at the very beginning from happy..) somehow to the movie "The Last of the Mohicans"
http://www.mohicanpress.com/
:) but plz don't ask why! I think there are some same notes played.
The base sound in happy_prowave is just wonderful, one question:

is the bass sound dry, it sounds very powerful, any fx on it, or does pro-wave just feature that fat sound out of the box...

The synth pad in second track (0:34) can't be beaten. Thats what I call trance sound at its best.
Is this a stock preset or did you tweak on your own?

give me more :) I love it...

Hello hifiboom,
thanks for your nice comment. :-))

< oh thats cool, is ProWave=the QuantumWave by John?
No, the Pro-Wave is a new synth from John Bowen.
Its a combination of the Prophet Plus and the QuantumWave. So it can make Prophet 5 sounds and PPG sounds.

< is the bass sound dry, it sounds very powerful, any fx on it, < or does pro-wave just feature that fat sound out of the
< box...
Yes, it is the pure Pro-Wave sound. I added only a little bit reverb.

It is a sound programmed by me. I made 60 factory presets for the Pro-Wave.

hey I've checked the Pro-Wave demo, and it is really very powerfull,
I love the WAV-Oscillator feature, which transforms the synth into some kind of sample-based-synthesizer...

endless possibilities....

Yes, the Pro-Wawe is very powerfull.
If I would live on a lonely isle I would need only two
synths: the Pro-wave and Hypersonic 2.

jeah but I would not like to go to the island without ALL the Scope synths and fx... because I love them all.
:)

When I am on a project with VSTis, I usually search through 100 of presets and none really fits.. so I have to tweak.
With Scope I usually start with a preset and this does inspirate me to make a melody from it.
Some days ago, I switched midi channel from Scope to a VSTi and checked some vsti presets. And the difference was soo huge, especially considering the mix.

So I quickly jumped back to Scope synth. My vsti are nearly untouched right now.
:)

I only use native sampling and audio tracks...
The VSTi synths are mainly good for background sounds..., its hard to get smacking basses and powerful nice sounding lead synths...

now we have 2006 and still nearly 95% of the VSTis lack quality sound. What a shame.
Of course there are some good VSTis too, but you have to search them through hundreds of available bad sounding ones...
And in most cases, if I switch of the additional fx on the VSTis (like delays, chorus and phaser) they sound very boring.

I think everything fits very well, the drums, synths and melodi are like made for eachother.. everything just fits perfect I think. Cool =)
